I am happy to donate organs – blood is a little more difficult because my veins are so deep – it’s a bit of a hassle lol. :?

You can get information using this link:

And to find out more about giving blood, use this one:

I have been an organ donor for years, and are registered to give any part of my body that they want, apart from me eyes. They are coming to the grave with me. The rest of it, they can have. I will not be needing it lol. And i hope that just one person may get a better life, from my death. As for blood donations, i go each year when they turn up to our local Tesco store. I might need it myself one day.

Ohhh – I’m the same, I want to keep my eyes.

I don’t know why, I just think I would like my head left intact. Hmmm…maybe I could get it cryogenically frozen :?

And I always remember my mum saying ‘they’re not having them – I want to see what heaven looks like!’

As yet im not but i will be a donor. Blood i havent give blood yet because something always happens and i can but again i will be, i feel strongly about donating blood as my mom had a few blood transfusions while she was having treatment for cancer and i am very grateful for the blood donors as she has rare blood. Its decent people like that who save lives without even really realising i think :D

People on organ doners list have a strange habit of being killed in suspicious circumstances

i know everyone has the right to do what they want but what good are perfectly healthy organs going to do in the ground. Im biased on this one as most of you know but the old cliche really is true. It is the gift of life and I for one am more than grateful to the people with the foresight to see the good in the donation of organs.
Please God may the day never come when any of you or anyone belonging to you need a transplant but just take a minute and try and think how you would feel if you did.
Transplants are not cures they are treatments (albeit very effective if successful) but the difference they make to the person needing it is really unbelieveable. And thats not taking into account the change in lifestyle of the immediate family.
And yes i am a registered donor they are welcome to take anything thats works

    well said Chess….

I think half the problem is people think of their body be sliced n diced makes them think…. NO… but like you Chess. Its not as if your body is needing it… and according to Faith, its the soul that continues to live… the body is just a shell….

I’m a blood doner although sometimes my count is too low to be able to give

As for organ donations… when I go they can have everything they want. I carry my card with me and my family all know my wishes. My understanding is that without their consent they can’t touch you so its best to tell your loved ones of your wishes.

I’m not an organ donor, merely because it’s not sumthin I’ve ever thought about :? until recently……. my sister needs a kidney transplant, her mum (not my mum) is donating one of her kidney’s, I guess until your in a situation that is close to your heart you don’t really think about it… I will however look into it, I guess u don’t need ur organs once you’ve gone…..and the possibility of giving someone else life once you’ve gone is a gift in itself…….
