I genuinely don’t know what Alfie is rabbiting on about. Football grew as a working class sport, serving working class communities. Has changed beyond recognition from a fans perspective due to TV money led by SKY in the 80s and clearly wealth dominates modern football (all over Europe). The game has been changed beyond recogition (wealth) and big clubs like Arsenal have been “gentrified” on behalf of the middle class, or as Fergie described them the “prawn sandwich brigade” and people from lower socio-economic groups are finding access much more difficult, if not impossible due to ticket prices.
Arsenal under Wenger playing “classy” football is totally irrelvant, they didn’t win major honours over the last 15 years or whatever of his reign and “Geo-Socio-Economic determinants on English Football” is just gobbledegook that doesn’t mean anything in the context of “class” unless it was highlighting the gentrification of the game, which it clearly wasn’t.

From what ive read in previous posts seems ge and rudey have established what Alfie knows about football you could write on a ants leg and still possibly have room for your name and address.

Worst referee ive seen so far at the world cup he let the Colombians surround him a few times.
A decent ref would have dealt would have dealt with colombias blantant dirty tricks last night.

I mean Harry might score ten goals but if the rest of the team let in 20 then it’s ten nil and Harry don’t look so good…personally…i think football gets too reliant on strikers….
