amazing a person has dealings with a group like pie and people say oh it was 40 years ago! unreal she shouldn’t be allowed near kids simple as does anyone think ken livingstone is a massive anti semite?

    Milky, read the article properly.

It’s from the Daily Torygraph, but it shows that the accusations are part of a Daily mail election smear, and are without foundation.

The Mail specialises in such smears.

Why not concentrate on today’s issues rather than use guilt-by-association tactics of 40 years ago?

The fact that the Tories have to resort to this rubbish is an indication of how scared theyre running.

I’m going to post something nice about Amber Rudd soon. She’s a Tory, and likely to be Chancellor after the election, but the personal attacks are getting me down. That’s not what an election should be about. Meanwhile, read Ariston’s post on the previous page (p.6) less the personal attacks, which he says he uses only because of the attack ads of the Tory campaign.

The woman who got the working class man to buy there own home so making sure he can go out on strike. Pure Class.

It also led to a huge deficit in social housing which Cameron extended at the last election I think.

Because of this, many people who can’t afford to buy (and I doubt either of my kids will be able to until I die and leave them my house (if there’s anything left should I need social care in my twilight years)) have no choice but to rent at huge cost to both them and often their local council. It didn’t help that some tax relief was also taken away from landlords. Who is that loss to be passed on to except the tenant?

It’s all a bit pants really.

NO Matter where we live in this world, no matter who we are and what we believe in, the sacrifice paid for eventual peace comes down to this:

    Mansions!

See by hitting if it brings you to the location or try typing the above words in your search areas.
    WARNING: EMOTIONAL but beautifully shared

Hmm but what about all the houses repossessed in the aftermath of the recession. I have a lot of respect for Ma Thatcher purely based on the fact she had the “balls” to stand & be counted on various issues ie the Falklands war. Not sure she’d be too impressed with the politics of today though.

The Falklands war? More ex squaddies and servicemen who fought in the Falklands later took their own lives, committed suicide, killed themselves, than died in combat during the actual war. They took ended their own lives because PTSD and other combat related mental disorder were NOT recognized by the Thatcher regime and the MOD, who pointblank refused to provide the necessary resources to the Mental Heath Service on cost grounds, despite overwhelming evidence from America regarding combat related stress and disorder. It is all well and good stating Thatcher had the “balls” to stand up to Galtieri’s mishmash conscript army of kids, but she Thatcher and the tory regime, did not have the “balls” to look after those who fought that war on her behalf, upon their return. That is not even getting into homelessness among ex squaddies and servicemen/women and prison numbers, which were and still are disproportionally high, specifically because of PTSD related issues. Suicide always rockets statistically under a tory regime, whether it be kids from sh*t council estates who fight their political wars, or among the general population.

I take your comments on board Gerry BUT people know the risks when they sign up for the armed forces.

The same could be said of those that fought the WW’s BUT where would we be now if those wars hadn’t happened?

Someone somewhere has to stand up & be counted in this case Mrs Thatcher.

Oh & I was a kid brought up on a “sh*ty council estate until my parents were in a position to by their own property in 1979.   ;-)
