I think the rage experienced in chat is a bit like road rage, I’m totally sure those raging chatters do not act like that in their real life… otherwise just going to the supermarket would be very hazardous.

I try to be civil to people in chat (on the few occasions I’m there) exactly as I am in my real life… have to say though I dont rage at people when I’m driving my car either,,, maybe its anonymity of the computer and behind the wheel of a car that changes people in some way… dunno?

I remember someone saying here once… well you all profess not to like the fights but when there is one the boards popularity increases… maybe there is some of that rage in all of us,, and maybe without it the boards and chat would become very dull.

    Just a thought :?

    guilty

think it was me who said it

Whilst i can see that if a row is going on , on the boards , everyone keeps watching … rather different to it happening in the room though i think…..On the boards you don’t have to look at it.. if you are in the room , you actually see it happening…. which is my point……. why not use the iggy button? ( Not sure if i have actually put that the right way) Of course some will now say ….. why don’t i use the iggy when it is going on ……. and good point !
Nine out of ten times when something kicks off in the room between 2 people it is invariably followed by a few more joining in .. so those that have iggied the original 2 , have now ended up iggying half the room . so what is the point?

When all that is needed ( and i am like a long playing record now), is for the original two that really don’t like each other to iggy one another to start with- if they feel they are not adult enough to be in the same room with someone they clearly don’t like without being able to goad, nit pick, insult, and disrupt the whole room.

” It is well known that eve and i don’t get on .. we have had ‘ run ins’ in the past . but i have to say .. i am proud of the fact that we can both be in the room at the same time , and iggy each other without actually using the iggy button … we don’t keep baiting one another … and spoiling the room for everyone else “

Yes tinks … i couldn’t agree more .. but what i am saying is ….
There are 1 or 4 ( lol ) in the room , that really dislike each other , and are constantly bi tching about it … fgs .. if that is the case , why not use the iggy button ?

I have been in the room just now . and went on a brb for 5 mins . when i came back .. off it had all kicked again . the same people .. baiting , nit picking at each other ..

It is well known that eve and i don’t get on .. we have had ‘ run ins’ in the past . but i have to say .. i am proud of the fact that we can both be in the room at the same time , and iggy each other without actually using the iggy button … we don’t keep baiting one another … and spoiling the room for everyone else .

we don’t use the iggy button cos we’re too bliddy nosey and frightened we’re going to miss something…………now tell me that isn’t true

True in some instances tinks yes… i can actually ignore someone without using the iggy button, as i am sure most of us can .. but there are times when i Have actually used it .. when i didn’t want to watch the abuse that i , or another chatter was getting.
