Land…….(Patti Smith)

Listening intently to Patti Smith album “Land” this weekend on CD through my music system. Every one listens to music for reasons of their own. 32 tracks here so i kept coming back to refresh my ears as like every other sense, strain ‘ em too much and they’ll wear out……Perhaps that’s what happened to  ‘ Hoven when he played The Emperor Concerto too much…..

Every thing about music is balance….(and dance really)….but that’s another subject along with poise

Back to Patti Smith and i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again that the production unit in the band’s case was top of it’s class. Funny thing is…..and a slight critique is that the cover versions are pretty bland….Stick to what you know best!

Great tracks to look out for though are 1959 at the top of the list,followed by Dancing Barefoot, the rest is all good apart from the track titles of some and then of course there’s the language…but hey…many remixes can or will be made of Patti Smith’s stuff..which doesn’t have to include swearing….working on one right at the moment…..probably take a few weeks to complete…..many have done it already with Because the Night……..i will be mixing..Ain’t it Strange….now that is material that can be worked on a DJ set……..
