thanks Hermy, well my son likes football, so we will definately be going to old Traford. we like walks. Apparently the lakes are spose to be lovely, which i think is about 1hr away from Manchester? we just want to go and have a look around really, maybe old buildings (castles etc..) Maybe go and see a show or something like that. Any places you can reckomend :?: :D

Old Trafford is a no no! You’ll get mugged! . The nearest lake that is 1hr away is the Irish sea

However, if you go near the G-Mex centre, just by Deansgate, there is a small place called Castlefield, which has remains of ancient castles, loads of canal ways and the science and history museum. Also, if ya fancy a drink, there’s lots of nice bars down Deansgate and tonnes of posh bars in Castlefield. (You may have seen the Websters in Corrie the other day drinking in one)

If ya wanna see a show, there is the Palace Theatre on Oxford Road, and a better one on Peter Street but I can’t remember the name of it. There is a huge Cinema next to the G-Mex too.

I think Manchester isn’t really a good place for kiddies though, I believe it has more of an adult theme to the city. When I go into the city centre, I only ever see kids in the shopping area, but I’m sure you’ll find something for them to do.

    Hope this helps……… :D
