It has been suggested several times here by both Somer and Linda and a few others here that I ‘use’ men.

If they mean that I use them ‘sexually’ – no, but I am working on it. LOL – just kidding.

My male friends are aware of what I am like personally, some I have been chatting to for over 3 years.  I have not cybered them, flashed them, or bonked them.

They do as they please and when I have been a bit of a dickhead they  tell me they think i have.

No control or manipulations going on.  I cannot shut them up, they cannot shut me up either.

I, for one, don’t blame you for Q’s excesses, Dangermousey, nor am I in favour of banning anyone – whether it be cosy or q.

You have every right to be q’s friend, and I know that while you’re a bad enemy you’re a good and loyal friend. That is wholly a big plus in my book.

But I also know when a flooding which can only be excessive is taking place. He’s blotting out posts and discussion.

And I do know when harassment takes place.  He harasses a few here, not just Ms M but she’s a particular target – and he continues with his obscenities over a very long  period.

The targets can ignore him but that doesn’t stop him. When finally someone is so exasperated that they say something (usually non-obscene such as calling him an idiot),  this just serves to make him redouble his attacks. These attacks are ignored for a long time, but almost every one of his (many, many) posts have a personal and often disgusting attack of some sort in them. Such attacks are ignored for a long time until in exasperation..and so it goes on.

You can’t call it a squabble between two people. It happens to several people here – he’s written of 5 turds floating around. It’s genuine harassment, especially when the principal target complains and says that she feels creeped and threatened. This just encourages him. When he’s warned that he’s breaking the rules, he openly laughs at it. He knows he’s doing it – he couldn’t not know.

I’m glad that you’ve tried to tell him to tone it down, but he’s not. As you say, it’s Q, not you. He makes his own decisions, however unhappy you are with them.

But I know harassment when I see it, and it’s continual past the point of breaking jc rules..

Well, jc does have rules,

and they should apply to you as much as anyone else.

I’m not sure how you could go with someone with as little respect for your dignity as that character, but you did, and there’s a problem.

Advertising the disrespect here on the boards isn’t enough, but it’s a start.

Retaliating against him here on the boards may be satisfying temporarily – and you punch hard – but in the end you’re going to need more (and I don’t mean empty threats of police action).

You’ll need restraint and you’ll need friends, and that’s for a starter. You’re not friendless, but you also don’t walk away from a fight easily and my guess is that unnecessary enemies are made as a result.

You have my good will, dangermousey, so don’t take that as a putdown x
