Lol. Sorry but I’m off the menu for any form of human consumption.

panda, I’m so pleased that you have a clean and decent, Christian mind…

as otherwise the implications are quite disturbing

I get where you are coming from.

I thought it was a bit of an offer from Old Ironduke and I was going to tell them to take it somewhere private.

    My bad.

    Hello everyone.

I shall mention to Panda,,,WELL DONE that lady,,,give me animals to chat to anyday,,I now know why i somtimes venture into forum 3, but they do say, when at the zoo keep you’re distance.

But on a more serious note, if you are happy with the life you live,,then i say brilliant. Im 47 ( in case no one had any idea ), No children, but i do have a husband, and of course my baby,,,Minature yorkshire terrier named Nessa.

When the time comes for me to depart from this world, then i have already explained to my husband and of course my mother that i dont wish to have a plot,,I have requested to have my ashes scatters over one of my favourite places,

    Ohhh is this getting morbid,,,,

I can’t say I’d be happy living out the rest of my days as single but right now I’m not going anywhere near a man for a long, long time.

The last one hurt me very badly. I’m sure there are some decent fellas out there.

    Somewhere.

    And where might that be?

Well ,one of my favourite places are the Brecon Becons,,,,so idyllic and tranquil. i would be happy to be scattered there, ( then again i would not know anything about it )…but that was my request.

Anyhow,,on a light note,,how are you all this evening ???.

    ouch, Panda.

But you’re right not to give up, just as you’re right to lick your wounds from a bruising encounter.

It’s not that there aren’t decent guys out there – there are many. It’s that the predatory types who are good at the chatup tend on the whole to be very skilled at ditching you when it suits them.

    Still, you live and learn.

I once saw Robert Graves on the box saying that women were really unlucky; men had such a range of interesting women to choose from, yet women tended to be very restricted by the poor coice available. He thought most men had no energy, and were content to sit in front of the fire getting their socks darned and their meals cooked (this was an earlier time – not many women will have that relationship now, but they have to put up with the men who get really enthusiastic about football). Graves thought the only men with energy were businessmen and poets. Businessmen weren’t really iterested in women, but in their business.

Of course Graves was a poet, and womaniser, so he would say that wouldn’t he?

In the meantime, to everything there is a season.

Well, the ex ex has now finally left after 9.5 years.

The ex – it was easy to get rid of him as he didn’t live here.

So, finally, I’m youngish, free and single.

And I fully intend to stay that way for a long, long time.

The ex ex was bad but not as bad as the ex who was a nasty control freak. I’m well shot of him.

i cant comment on your situation as i know nothing about it, but i wish you well and a good life from now on in :) i had similar thoughts when my wife (now ex) had an affair after the death of both my parents within 3 months of each other, i found trust an impossible barrier to overcome, but after years alone i dipped my toe into the water again…i found the hardest thing was to accept womens feelings to actually mean something real. it gets better but just make sure you are ready…Sometimes time alone is a great cure to clear the mind and realise just what you are worth as a person. Fingers crossed for you xxx

Nowt to say except (((((( panda ))))))

Been there with the control freak (I guess many of us have), not sure what’s worse, control freaks or passive aggressives, neither are good news. Us humans (especially the female of the species) are quite resilient creatures though and you’ll bounce back. Just don’t let the ex’s harden you so you close the doors and shut out the good things in life otherwise they’ve won all over again.
