    Why is that trolling drac? Sounds like you were just having a light hearted joke with some one to me.

    It’s the same motive and method of trolling, I just chose an example that was palatable.

    I don’t agree it is the same method at all but it is funny and I would have laughed  as well. I once spent a hilarious night on JC in the old room where an American trolled the room by claiming the Beatles and the Rolling stones were American groups. The more abuse he got the more he insisted the Brits were in denial of American superiority. I am sure you can imagine the abuse he got, but there was no malice in the actual wind up and it was hilariously funny to observe.

    She cant understand comprehend or get it can she?  I suppose until you have given birth to children of your own and actually are a real mother yourself and experienced true bulling of them first hand you cant really understand why a child could possibly end up dead because of it.  You are a very intelligent woman, unlike me.  But when you simply do not understand something, best to just give up rather than just bang on about stuff you have no experience to comment on.  You throw in examples which are so inferior to what this discussion is about.  This child had extensive, intensive bullying.  You don’t seem to grasp the extremity of why this resulted in what happened to him. And with your clever brain you really should, so its all about what I said earlier – you have no experience or resources to comprehend this conversation properly.

    Yes….Miz used the word malice. That’s the big difference. Many bond by having light hearted ‘digs’ at each other. it helps break the ice and form friend ships and helps the banter along. This does have problems of it’s own as not every one takes this sort of ‘ bonding’ in the way it was intended and flare ups can occur.

    Trolling and bullying with malicious intent how ever is far more serious and deadly. Individuals or groups get targeted with the intention of damaging them, possibly destroying them out of hate for that particular individual or group. The reasons, not necessarily known to the attacker them selves.

    Online bullying is deadly and rife because just like bullying or in the real world….(it’s done by cowards).These attackers get bold because they feel they can never be caught, hiding as it were behind a veil of obscurity. Over a period of time, the mental effects on a victim can be devestating to the point that some one can decide to end their life over it.

    Drac, Mizzy didn’t imply or say you dont love your children did she? She said you seem unable to grasp the severity of bullying and the effect it can have on people.

    You seem to think that blocking people on social media is the answer….if you dont see what people are saying, it cant hurt you. True enough, but as has been pointed out repeatedly, new accounts can be made, and so it goes on.

    I am fully aware of how bad bullying can get.

    Shared knowledge/research what I do best….
    “Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior in which someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury or discomfort.” (American Psychology Association on Bullying)

    Psychologist Identify New Ways to prevent. “Dan Olweus, ph.D, Norway- pioneer and “Founding Father” of research on bullying and victimization)

    “Characteristics of bullies:
    -strong need to dominate and subdue other students and to get their own way;
    -Impulsive and easily angered;
    -often defiant and aggressive toward adults, including parents and teachers;
    -show little empathy toward students who are victimized;
    -if boys, physically stronger than boys in general.
    Passive or submissive victims:
    -cautious,sensitive,quiet,
    Withdrawn and shy;
    -often anxious, insecure, unhappy,and low self esteem;
    -depressed and engage in suicidal ideation much more than peers;
    -do not have single good friend and relate better to adults then peers;
    -boys physically weaker then peers.
    Girls bully as well but use more subtle indirect ways of harassment such as excluding someone from the group – spreading rumors, manipulate friendships relationships.
    This type can certainly be harmful and distressing as more direct and open forms of attacks.”

    I don’t see what other response I could have given to that. That isn’t something that a friend would say.
