I read an article the other day about how the Tories are planning to, finally, reward married couples by giving them tax breaks.

The move is designed to “prevent further break-up of our morals and values in society”

But I don’t think the plan is enough. What we need to do is tax single parents. I’m not saying we should tax them much, but they should be taxed, then the money from the single parent tax, can go to married parents to help with their child’s education etc.

This way, we are rewarding those who deserve it and people will no longer go out and get pregnant just to live an easy life under government handouts, because they know they will be taxed for it.

I believe this will prevent further break-up of our morals & values in society, AND start to restore them – which the original Tory plan would fail to do.

I do agree in some ways with you smiley, but not in others. As for the teenagers that go out and get pregnant and think that they have a right to be housed then yes. But some single parents have no choice. I am happily married now, but 13 years ago i was in a abusive relationship and left with my daughter for our own safety. I found life very hard to live on benifits and supporting my daughter until she went to preschool, after which I was able to get a job during those hours. On the other hand now I am married I am also looking forward to these tax credits :!: :D

No, they don’t. These are the kind of people single parent tax should be aimed at. Discourage this cruel and vile method of cheating the system.

But some single parents have no choice.

This is true. That’s why I wanted to be fair and said “not taxed MUCH”

Yes Tommy … this is good creative thinking on your part.

We really should slap a tax on all these immoral and itinerant shaggers ….HEY ….. ….. it could be called ”Slapper Tax”

HEY !!!! I’ve had another brilliant

You know that criminals and suchlike are forced to wear an electronic tag so that their whereabouts can be monitored??? Well I’ve just thought of a terrific way to enforce the new Slapper Tax.

You simply fit all known slappers with electronic chastity belts.

If the belt is removed ….or an attempt is made to ”penetrate” it in any way – a substantial tax charge is applied to the slapper. It can me monitored by mobile phone (all slappers today have mobiles so they can yatter to their slapper mates about nothing at all) – so any interference with it can be acted upon rapidly by the Morality Police.

THAT’LL force the slappers to keep their legs closed !!!!!

Although I would agree that most single parents are slappers these days, there are genuine single parents out there.

My Single Parent Tax is not designed to punish them for being a single parent. It is designed to ‘encourage’ them to develop some morals, and find a suitable father or mother figure for their child.

Once they are married, they would then be given tax breaks. My idea is designed to benefit children up & down the country.

I care a great deal about my fellow Britishers, and I think the steps I would take would greatly improve the quality of life for children.

A Single Parent Tax would discourage people from purposly going out, and as you say, PB, spread their legs just for the chance at government hand-outs and free housing. They would NOT get such treatment.

    They would be TAXED.

This is for the benefit of children. If you can’t afford to have kids – DON’T HAVE THEM. If you do, it makes you a cruel and vile monster.

I’m with you on this Rachel. Sorry about that Tommy.

Look …. if we slapped the ‘Slapper Tax’ on ALL single parents but gave them a 100% refund AND paid them interest on the refunded amount AND gave them a tax allowance when they got married – THAT would provide a damned good incentive to get married now wouldn’t it???

Yep they would get married take the money then claim every think under the sun to get divorced again to start all over again with baby 2 /3/4/5/6/7/8

    Thats alot of wedding cake

Oh !!!! ….sorry ….. I forgot to mention the severe penalties that would be imposed on a slapper who got thert Slapper Tax Rebate and then got divorced.
