Beautiful blue skies and glorious sunshine here!! Absolutely brassic though. Don’t they say it warms up to snow? Although I don’t understand that

19 January, 2013 at 11:58 am #516336Strange how the local train companies can’t run a full train service because of the weather conditions yet they can still carry out track maintenance on the line and operate a replacement bus service…

:lol:20 January, 2013 at 8:54 pm #51633820 January, 2013 at 9:46 pm #516339We had 3 inches of snow yesterday, it stopped overnight then snowed all day today – there’s now about 7 inches on the ground and it’s currently -4c! Should freeze nicely for tomorrow morning…
Mr Jen is flying to Switzerland at some ungodly hour of the morning tomorrow so we checked out the weather forecast thinking it would be colder and snowier there – it’s going to be warmer there than here for the next few days and raining!
21 January, 2013 at 7:23 am #516340Well we had snow non stop yesterday (Sunday), come 5 o’clock it was pretty grim, poor visibility with blizzard like conditions and the temperature was -4. However! I decided to brave it and was determined to get to Alexandra Palace for the Snooker!. Took me 1hr 45mins which wasn’t bad, the journey is normally 1 hr. So I was well chuffed  Had an amazing time. :D
22 January, 2013 at 6:25 pm #516341Dear Mr Weatherman,
You forcast rain for this afternoon and sleet for this evening for our area.
What is dropping from the sky right now, and has been for the last 2 hours, is not rain or sleet, it is definitely snow, and not light snow either.
Tomorrow you have forecast light snow…should we expect a blizzard?
At least it does take the mind off the awful smell coming from France though…
Yours shiveringly,
Jen -
