Thank you both Sophia and mooosey. It is not, nor ever my intent to take away opinions of others, rather ask questions, posts opinions, or merely speak truth..facts I am aware of. I have learned or been corrected when needed. Appreciate it. However..when it comes to politics especially about that of here and I am familiar, scep has a pop at what reads, sees on television and I merely try to correct his errors. I am not bull shit as scep is aware as I said long ago, I threw my towel in public arena several years back and did run for public office as he aware as he researched me. Yes people made fun of me thinking I lied about Senators and such as yes I have been active in my community and Albany. But scep can spew..think he knows..perhaps book smart..but will never beat me out on my knowledge of today’s political affairs and not those of prior deceased Presidents. Was not born then. So he can read on..will not debate those as I may be aware but not studied them..no need. Live for the present. Build on facts from the past and move forward.
Scep if you think that the many posts are boring, sad and disappointed. That is what they are for. Mere debates..discussions.
However, I agree with the many good people here..the trolls have over taken these boards with bull and petty and perhaps too many personal attacks on many kicking way below belt. Perhaps scep since here so long..put energy in to making this place little better…then publicly stating place boring at many posts..
The trolls have been pushing much tension and confusion. And it rather sickening. Turns people off. I have been turned off lately by much. Sick of things myself.
To scep..the political stuff you will never beat me or persuade me different. For those who have defended my opinions or not, have been adult enough and we engage..I appreciate it. I am not perfect..always say that..however..not totally ignorant either.. nieve at times giggles at this comment..but Rome not built in a week…

I think the most encouraging thing happening in America today is the revival of American Socialism, which has a long and honourable tradition.
Instead of poor people being treated as lazy bums, or offered charity, there’s an attempt by socialist politicians like Alessandria Ocasio-Cortez to fight back. Her Green New Deal, now being backed by many Democrats such as the presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, points to an alternative to Trump’s policies of giving money to his pals, the very rich.
The obscenity of the world’s wealthiest country housing the highest proportion of people in child poverty in the developed world at last meets a genuine challenge.
What happen to the person elected president. Why division for all to see. Bully tactic works between Republicans and Democratics. Pelosi has divided as well as Hillary when they speak party always. Democratics need to take over. So they better than Republicans..working class..conservatives. give me a break.
U can have Warren scep. And I not speak of the other openly. Piece of work those two. Bias ladies to their personal cause. Revenge..get rid of..hate

The person elected President is just that – President, not Dictator.
The US Constitution ensures that by limiting his powers through Congress and the Supreme Court.
If he declares a national emergency, then it gives him much greater powers. That’s why there had better be a bloody good cause – eg outbreak of civil war, such as faced Lincoln, or a very temporary emergency agreed by all as has happened during natural catastrophes.
Congress, both Republican and Democrat, have declared Trump’s state of emergency to be a national disgrace and outrage. They are defending the Consittuion, not bully boy tactics.
The Supreme Court will decide.
I want you Americans to have Elizabeth Warren, and that’s because I wish you all well.

Politics is all about who’s in charge,who’s the boss,who’s the daddy etc…get yer own office, bespoke leather chair, picture of grand kids on the desk LOL…….
Travelling around America recently i came across third world poverty in a so called first world country. Skid row in LA down town a stones throw from hollywood glitz and glamour of rodeo drive beverly hills. 50 blocks of homeless people over 8,000 living in tents or make shift carboard homes. If any walls needs tearing down its this wall of shame that has been allowed to happen. San Francisco’s tender loin area have the same problem! Talking to some people in the hotel and restaurant trades they say they live paycheck to paycheck and are only one away from a park bench! Ten mins after passing skid row is a different world shops where you have to have an appointment just to get in! old and new movie stars has beens and wannabes walking around wanting to be seen. I did see one female legend being interviewed still stunning at 91 Gina Lollobrigida in LA where she was being honored at the L.A. Italian Culture Festival . Amazing in red high heel boots. Lady gaga walking her dog, we had seen her two night previous performing in MGM Grand in Las vegas with a surprise guest Bradly cooper.
Did you know Elvis is alive? met him on a bridge crossing in Las Vegas as he came out of the MGM Grand!

Or maybe Cleared to land is using posts of doctored figures by the Trumper Heritage Foundation??
The Heritage Foundation wants an end to Medicare, Medicaid, and the War on Poverty. none of them are needed now, because there is no poverty.
And think of all the tax cuts in store for the honest hard-working rich people.

I have travelled to quite a few places in America. What i can’t understand – America is the most technologically advanced nation yet its main concern is the same as the poorest Third World nations: How to care for the sick. I used to crack jokes if you took ill while in the USA the ambulance drivers would be checking our your wallet before they checked out injuries, that has now become a grim reality. . I can remember a panorama programme which showed hundreds of middle-class people without health insurance, driving through the night to a secret location in Tennessee to be treated by charity medics. They detest free healthcare, labelling it an “entitlement” which drains the economy. Life to them is about the survival of the fittest, and the death of the weakest .Many of its own people are living with job insecurity and having to use pay day loans and predatory lenders to simply survive. Donald Trump signed a bill making it easier for predatory lenders to take advantage of these vulnerable people. Its So sad, people undergoing this type of poverty in a supposedly developed nation. If our own Government had its way, that is exactly what would happen here. You only truly appreciate our own NHS when you travel.

I believe you told the truth, Sophia.
I was very impressed that you went to the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world and you didn’t turn your eyes away from the dark side of that society.
We both remember when the NHS was a genuine NHS, free at the point of production.
It’s now moving towards the US model, gradually.
I know everybody turns their eyes up at my posts, but I’m not a Euro-enthusiast. I just fear this country becoming closer to Trump’s country. Nigel Farage has stressed that he wants the NHS to be replaced by a system of health insurance, and when Big Pharma moves in for the kill on a weakened country (all the guff about a Golden Age coming doesn’t wash with me) your children and mine will be paying bills for prescriptions whi are three times higher than now.
Whenever an attempt is made to produce some sort of national health service in America , ever since the war, it’s been stopped by the powerful lobbies of Big Pharma and the private doctors of the AMA (the American Medical Association).
It’s small wonder that the poor in the US are ill and therefore poorer – a vicious circle of poverty – when the following happens. I don’t want the UK getting like the US in the following table.
Well, Sophia, whether you agree with me or not is less important than the fact that we share the same values, whihc I think we probably do.
