That doesn’t answer the question. Tottenham have been relegated,. I remember it well :)  It was not a Premier league specific question. Any league, any time in history.

What is the ONLY English team that’s never been relegated ?

I’m so pleased that the boys are being kept happy by threads like this :good:

    Has to be said.

Well football is our national religion. More people go to one big football match than all the churches in the country, what does that say?

To quote the late Bill Shankly “Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don’t like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Do you have a team Mr. Scep?

    No, divine love.

I actually hate and despise football.

    Or should I be clearer?

I enjoyed playing football with mates. A game which can bring people closer together.

But as a spectator sport, watching extremely well-paid jerks kick a pig’s bladder around and going orgasmic over it? No way!

I do support the gay aspect of it, but there are limits. When one player kicks the pig’s bladder between two posts into a net, he is felled by another player who lies on top of the goal-scorer and rubs himself up and down on said goal-player’s body while thousands of people leap for joy and scream “more! more!”. I do think that the two players should be enjoying each other in private, though, and find the public participation in their loving to be undignified and unseemly. Just me, I know, but there you go.

I hate the national religion aspect of it. It literally makes me want to vomit.

Aha. I’m a bit older. I remember the Arsenal 1971 double team. When I was a boy growing up in North London, in those days before the Taylor report, the stadiums would open up the gates at half time and it’d be an open house. Us local boys would go to Arsenal one week and Spurs the next. I used to love Hoddle in the 70’s.

You were already going to football matches at age 4  … and you actually remember them?
