I showed your thread to my daughter today,,and we howled,took Rory home and TOLD Steve we were going out ! we went out to eat,,I have had him most of this week.he did NOT have the hard neck to complain!

To right to Rubes. Its all good being a nan and babysitting, but you need your life too. A healthy balance needs to be found or contempt will breed and you dont want that. :wink:
oh defo sharon…she doesnt ask much,,as to be really honest HIS family are good too..in fact it sometimes comes down to a near fight who is having him ,between his paternal granny and great granny…
i helped out this week as she had the oppurtunity to get cash,and experience in life. Her boyfriend has an extended family and is still lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents etc.. whereas she is used to me and joe..
but i did a good job i think.and im told whenever the other familes become “me me me” she butts in with a story of…” well ONE time MY mum said….”
she is lucky ..and you seen my wee man :) she,like my son will never want for anything !
