Mooo how lucky are you seeing a elephant hawk moth. Its prob looking for a safe place to pupate (turn into a moth). They need to come down from their leafy larders and search for leaf litter to hide in. Hope you left him some leaf litter! If a birdie comes along looking for a nice fat grub the hawk moth puffs his head out and what looks like two huge eyes on his body should scare any bird away. I always leave a little overgrown corner for butterflies etc. What we call weeds are food for these creatures.

As for jane! killing them indeed! May the fleas of a thousand camels invade your crotch and may your arms be too short to scratch it :)

Our little pet. Charlotte the chilean rose tarantula

I bet Jane wears that badge with pride! hope you swallow a few in your sleep!

I was tidying the garden a few months ago I moved a large pot. A fooking huge long black insect about 2 inches long reared up his body looking all aggressive at me in a scorpion like fashion! fooking crapped myself. I looked them up to learn they are called ” Devils coach horse beetle ” they can give a nasty bite also can emit a foul smell from its abdomen area! and I thought it was me.. This pic is from google

Hate moths but I’m getting better

    still a confirmed ‘ flappyphobic” though !!!

don’t mind spiders except the little body long long leg types eughhhh.

HOWEVER !!  I did take exception to this landing on my pillow next to my head !  It was obviously up for a fight and kept coming back for more giving me time to grab my phone and video it. I’m only posting a screenshot of it tho so no one can hear me screaming and shouting abuse at it lol

if spiders send you funny look away now !!
