Thank you Cath for your kind comments, and may I also add my personal thanks and congratulations to all involved in last night’s Christmas quiz for the superb way in which it was conducted.

I loved the friendly atmosphere and the good natured rivalry between the two teams. Wern’t some of the questions difficult though? They even defied Googling for an answer (I know ‘cos I tried).

There are three people that I would like to record a special thank you to:

    ForumHostGM for all her hard work and unflagging support in getting everybody to the starting line on time;

    Aaron Hayes who compered the quiz last night in such a friendly and professional way and made the whole evening tremendous fun for everybody;

and particularly to ForumHostCL who originally came up with the idea for a “radio quiz” and set it up with Aaron and has been a driving force in the background throughout.

I don’t know the amount we all raised yet, but I do know that seeing everybody supporting McMillan Nurses was incredibly heartwarming. We all know someone who is dying of cancer or who has died of it, and supporting these nurses in their amazing and heartrending work is a really wonderful thing to do.

Thank you all for your tremendous support.

    Well said 8)

A wonderful night had by all.. expertly organised, brilliantly presented and generously supported!

    Well done everyone :)

A fabulous fun filled night…… many thanks to CL,GM and all the participants with a big thank you to Aaron and Dex

As for the singers well what can i say except you were fantastic and so brave :D but we all loved yas and some have even admitted to being overcome with emotion  (when my ears stopped bleeding i even clapped) Ruby and Sgts rendition of Fairytale in New York has Alexander Burke and Geraldine McQueen living in fear now :D

The last count just before the end of the show revealed that £249.10 was raised via texts, phone- ins, emails and donations …….

Well done to all involved ….

I am actually trying to work out whether im Alexandra or Geraldine :) It was that bad it was good !

And a thank you from me, for a good laugh and a great night. And even better because it was for a good cause. Thanks to Cl and GM and to Aaron himself, who i had a jolly good natter with, when we awaited sgt doing his vocal warm-ups.

I look forward to the next one . Merry Christmas all. x

I would just like to repeat what has already been said here – unfortunately I couldn’t listen to the whole show, I pretty much only caught the first 10 minutes and last half an hour. Some might say I was avoiding the questions, but that’s rubbish – I bet they were easy ;)

What I did hear was fantastic, and the whole evening sounded like a lot of fun. I admire the way so many people came together to pull of such a fantastic event, and all for a great cause to boot.

    Well done to you all.

Say what you like about slush, mush and JC but last night brought old and new chatters together in the Christmas Spirit that was intended. The banter before and after the quizzes has been the best and I’m going to miss it, the icing on the cake was hearing Ruby and Sgt sing, brought a tear to many of our eyes on here!

CL, GM, Aaron and his team deserve a medal for putting this together and being so patient with some of us nutters! (I honestly didnt mutter Chess under my breath). The best bit being we raised some money for a Cancer Charity and as a survivor I feel so grateful.

    It was a brilliant night.

Havnt laughed and cried so much at the same timefor so long.

Well done to all who had the guts to sing live :D

    Hello everyone. xxxxx

have you all recovered from last night?

on behalf of ForumHostCL, ChatGuideAC, (arron) and myself, we would like to say
a massive thank you to everyone who took part in our charity quiz last night.

we are so touched and so very proud of all our quiz participants, without you guys
this would never have been possible. so well done to you all. and please, be happy
in the knowledge, you have made this christmas, a very special one for kids with cancer.

all the money raised last night will be going towards an extra little christmas present
for children with end stage cancer.

CL and i , were so overwhelmed by your contributions, be it by texting, phoning,
or sending in shouts. however, the best part was when ruby and sgt pepper sang the xmas duet live on the radio. CL and i were crying it was just so lovely.

well done to you both =D> you were amazing.

a big big thank you to all the people who showed true courage by picking up
the phone and taking part in the quizzes over these past months.

you were all amazing, and we cannot thank you enough.
a special heartfelt thank you to ChatHostUK (martin) for making a donation
of £100. well done Martin your generosity is to be admired. and a big thank you to
ForumHostPB for his support in the quiz last night.

thank you to both the team captains PAT and Poet you have been superb through out
each quiz. and we take this opportunity to wish PAT and fastcars all the very best with
    their new site.

SO……… on that note……… from all the staff here at JC we wish you all a very merry
    and peaceful christmas.

    Legendary night that !!

And for charity too, cool. Small point but does anyone know which team actually won ? I BET IT WAS THE PROFS hahaha …………so glad I got home in time, but couldn’t tell who half the names were, lol. I caught Cath x singing, she really should have done the reggae version methinks; sorry to Esme and La Rubesta but I crashed out before you had your go’s, twas a bit late……

I was mightily impressed by Sarge’s rendition of ‘Let It Snow’……. wow……. that sure got me clicking me fingers. I even started to make suggestive movements towards certain las vegas casinos in the manner of danny ocean or summat.

Thank you Radio Guys dan, dexter and especially aaron who is great when you call in. Special snog to GM and the wonderful CL for all the hard work behind the scenes.

Well done pats, poet and all the team peeps, **directs a festive nod to fellow PROFS ** and in fact everybody who has contributed to make these nights a right good laff.

Please excuse me while I take a victory lap around my laptop…… and …err…..have we booked a very PROFessorial open-top bus to go through forum three yet ?? ( stick it in ya ears playfings)
    ; o )

A Big Merry Christmas to all

Happy New Year to you too Aaron.

Strange, but Ive really missed propping my eyes open with matchsticks, drinking copious amounts of Pinot Grigio drunk through 3 bendy straws joined together and positioning my fags in the most reachable place in order to take part in the Quiz!

Will there be anything new on the Horizon, opps I mean 7 waves, would be nice to have something going on especially as the last event (with your help and patience) raised so much for charity!

    Love Rose xxx
