Also Film with Denzil Washington n Angela JolieSummary, Linc a CSI type guy but due to an acciendent when ingestatin a crime scene his body got crushed and he’s paralized fae the neck down, but have use of his mind, and finger. his eyes at the crimes scenes is Sachs, smart female Police officer whom ‘ walks the grid’ for Linc, also she wears a cam so he has visual.
A body part is found at a railway line, and the story begins of a serieal killer , Linc and Sachs have to work 2gether to find the killer, with the clues they come across,
As u know im dislexic as fo ok so readin is hard for me, I fell into these books he takes you each step of the crimes, gory details, also does a Crime scene board for u to view, is written well with twists n turns, just when u think u have solved the crime/crimes there’s another twist…
The Vanshed Man Jeffery Deaver Linc..
this book was better than bone fanstatic storyline of a another potential Serial killer, although they have trapped the killer @ the start by 2 police females, he magiclay disapears before there eyes, this killer is a ilulsionus magican, another test for Linc and Sachs to come 2gether…
My good friend at work is beggin me to read this. I saw the movie and loved it. She read the book then saw the movie and thought it was shit! Always the way.
I saw the movie first also ShaZZa, i thought the film was good but obvis not as good as the book, but how i stumbled on it, when in australia david had the vanished man, and when i started readin it, i felt i knew the characters wasnt til my aunt said aboot his other books and the bone collector, i re-read the vanished man twice, as it was that good, but seeing the film helped me with readin the books of Linc as i have images of DenZil n Angilea when readin it…. helps with my coninstrastion level..!!

Always amazes me the amount of people on this Forum who are spotlessly white and clean, with no bad habits or any faults of any kind.
They can safely critisise anyone because they know they themselves are perfect.
To those people I salute you.

Fave Books?..
An invitation to ramble all day. I’ll confine myself, for now, to mentioning probably the most influential work on my life to date, Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco. It’s not easy, but, if you can stick with it, it will innoculate you to the evil that is pot boilers like The DaVinci Code. And you will be glad. Glad, I say.

Fave Authors?..
The aforementioned Mr Eco, certainly. The Island of the Day Before and Baudolino are further examples of his genius. Those masters of spine chilling, don’t you dare look over your shoulder, the world is not as it seems concoctions MR James and HP Lovecraft would also deserve a mention. Hunter S Thompson and Ernest Hemingway were marvellous writers of prose that might swallow you whole. Anyone who ignores the work of George Orwell is a mighty fool. PK Dick could be, by turns, infuriating and mind expanding but his madness was more than worth sharing. Enough.

Reviews..
Gloriana or the Unfulfilled Queen by Michael Moorcock is a book I first read as a teenager and have only recently re-read. I remember enjoying it immensely back then. Now new depths have been revealed, new messages and new subversions. Fantasy is all too often a lazy rehashing of Tolkien, Moorcock has never fallen for it.

For Whom the Bell Tolls. You’ve probably never read a war story like this before.

Books to Film..
Bladerunner, from PK Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is the best example I can recall of a film delivering more than a book. Flukey genius. Harrison Ford’s laconic Magnum PI type narration was done in an actor’s sulk yet works perfectly.

Excerpts..
“Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.”
HS Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegaslmfao best part was chile, ssssalt lol class as usual Pikey lol
