I agree that Novo should have played, I expected his name to be one of the first on the team sheet but unless he went 442 which has been very shaky for us this season (look at the Dundee United games) then there was no chance. Davis is a difficult man to drop in that position.

I watched the game with my dad and we both thought that, if he was playing a five man midfield, Dailly would be playing the holding role ahead of Hemdani. But hindsight is a wonderful thing. Walter’s bound to look at this campaign as something he can realistically hope to build on next season. And I reckon he’ll have more depth next year, having Burke, Naismith and Beasley out injured long term hasn’t helped so with a few new faces he’s bound to be confident. His tactics often baffle me and tonight was unfortunately the night when it didn’t pay off.

Like I said, I’m still happy that I got to see my team in a european final.

To be fair Rangers look Ok when they had to attack and chase the game.

They also had a go at Parkhead the other week, and almost nabbed it.

I think they had the players to do this tonight John. I think the odds of winning having a go would have been lower than the odds of sitting back, given that their luck in that regard was bound to run out sooner or later.

Smith should have had a go. Leaving a form player like Novo on the bench.

As The Gambler Kenny Rogers once sang “Know when to hold em, know when to fold em”. Tonight was the time to hold em.

If Rangers had had a go they could be sitting there with the Trophy. Probably not, but the Rangers fans would surely have had a warmer feeling in their stomach than knowing that they didnt even try to make a game of it.

Now watch the Championship come back to Parkhead.

These Happy Days are yours and mine Happy Days. :D

Tell that to the Russian Fan who’s been stabbed.

Cant take these Rangers fans anywhere Matt.

Now their fans are doing the same in Manchester City Centre. ](*,)

We had our honour, dignity and respect intact.

This game was abysmal, and Rangers were an embarrasment to Scottish Football.

John, my team were there in 2003 participating in one of the best UEFA Cup Final’s in history.

This was one of the worst. Rangers got to the Final by playing dire defensive Football, and they got exactly what they deserved. :D No one can possibly deny it.

Tonight was the time for Rangers to have a go. Zenit were OK, but they werent world beaters. With an attacking formation they were there for the taking. Smith bottled it, and the Rangers fans boos at the end shows that they know it as well.

    Football has won tonight.

    Total garbage.

Any neutral would have turned off after 10 mins. There’s only one team trying to play, and they dont wear Blue.

Hope ya’ll grabbed the 0-0 draw after 90 mins at 7-1. If not there’s still time to nip doon the Bookies.
