That is a terrible thing and something that obviously needs to be stopped, but how many women were killed here by angry / jealous /drunk / drugged husbands / boyfriends /ex’s / obsessed stalkers / random attackers that were not muslims?
It doesn’t take much imagination to envisage an alternative and less far-fetched plan for world domination that would be much more malevolent towards the west.
The green bandwagon is based on the semi-myth of globbal warming that is being promoted with religious zeal by non-scientists around the world.
What we have is a scenario where there have slightly rising global temperatures for a few decades and a scientific model that shows how human activity (CO2 production) might tend towards a heating effect. What we do not know is whether the slightly rising temperatures are a natural phenomenon or caused by human activity. Average global temperatures have have been rising, with a few blips and reversals, since the the last ice age ended 20,000 years ago.
If humans are causing global warming, what about CFC’s, that were banned in the 1980’s because they had been predicted to cause global warming? As they slowly accumulate in the upper atmosphere, the peak effect was predicted to occur up to 50 years after the ban came into effect.
But I’m not an anti-environmentalist. The big environmental catastophe staring modern civilisation in the face is that of dwindling finite resources. We know oil and gas resources are finite. We also know that the known reserves are predicted to last only decades rather than centuries. If humans are causing global warming, then in 40 years’ time, when the oil and gas begins to run out, the warming will go into reverse as CO2 emissions begin to decline!
I also found an amazing video of UFOs in Haiti – incredible, until I looked at the responses and read that it was all computer generated and all the palm trees were identical!!! But they look real.
Makes me think the Lima one is a hoax too, with the newsman and the spectators in on the game too!
High flying aircraft with bright lights shining downwards? Why? Haven’t a clue!
Or…… lighting effects created by interference patterns where 2 beams intersect – looks like objects but no mass, just blobs of light???
Wow! People seem to be more wound up about any attempts to stop bad driving than they were about the original topic.
I am left-wing, atheist republican anti-monarchy pro EU pinko but I speak as I see on the subject of radical islam. It is, in my mind, a ‘hostile foreign power’ and I wish more lefties would realise that, rather than banging on about Bush all the time!
You’ll always be able to find cases of police officers, teachers, judges etc. who indulge in stupid actions.
Over 3000 people die on our roads each year so it is self-evident that enforcing speed limits and prosecuting the criminal motorists who drive badly IS an important priority for the police. When I am walking, cycling or driving my car I want the streets to be safe. I want the law to protect me from those who might have passed a driving test but are psychologically and temperamentally unfit to hold a driving licence. There are a lot of such drivers around.
I saw the leader of the Muslim Council of Britain speaking on TV. I can’t vouch for all the things he’s quoted as saying in the above post, but he did make the comparison to Nazi Germany in the 1930’s.
But this begs the question – where should we be looking for this comparison to Nazism?
I’d say that the greatest parallel to Nazism in Britain today (if we ignore a few tinpot BNP hotheads) is radical islam. I’m not talking about normal muslims but I mean the jihadists who promote hatred and murder and yet work within and seek to subvert mainstream islam (perhaps unwittingly, if they are Pakistanis or Somalians etc.) into an Arab-supremacist war machine.
