No I hadn’t seen that thin. What a good idea, and how nice of them to do it.

I couldn’t make my kids do that.When I was a kid, we lived in this huge house, and we always had giant Christmas trees. It was so big it always used to chip the pain off of the ceiling.
One Christmas we were just sitting down to eat dinner and the phone rang. Dad picked it up, put it down and took it off the hook. Nothing and no one disturbs his Christmas dinner. We never did find out who it was. :lol:

We had all this when Martin first changed over from ASCII to parachat. People moaned about being *thrown into the lobby* rather than the old forum list, and then being able to choose which room they wanted to go in.
The only real difference now is, that you can actually talk in the lobby. If you don’t want too then click on 40’s and go in there. What’s so difficult about that? :?
People moan and moan about the lobby and all the idiots in it and the lurkers, but do they use the other rooms provded? No. They can’t stand to actually leave the lobby and use one of the other rooms in case they miss something going on in the lobby, because it all makes for juicy gossip.
If you are sick of the lobby and want to get 40’s going again, the do it. Just click on 40’s and in you go. Or you could use the VIP room Martin provided. That way you could be certain no idiots would come in and only registered users can gain access to it. The choice is yours.
No. :( You are so lucky. All we’ve had are frosts and fog. I really really really want some snow. We should get some next week, hopefully. Then the schools can close and the kids can stay at home.

Exactly right Panda. The stupidity of some users is just staggering. This applies to ALL the forums btw. It’s mainly the female users I have to say. They happily sit there and tell all their *friends* all about their private lives, kids names, where they go to school, and even details of their ailments. Thing is, they arn’t just telling their friends, they are also telling a whole roomfull of total strangers, you know the ones who just sit there watching. So complete strangers now have intimate details of their private lives, and then they react with horror, and wonder how people know all this personal stuff about them that at some stage gets plastered all over the boards. Derrrrrrrr I can’t imagine. :roll:
