I agree with pebbles. I hate fox hunting. It,s cruel to chase a poor defenceless animal until it,s totally knackered and can,t run any more, and then let a pack of dogs rip it to peices. If I see em when I,m out in my volvo I roar past them and blast my horn at them. Maybe they are pests in cities but there has to be a more humane way of culling them than that. I,ve had a really stressful day I have. What with the effing printer not doing what it should and my daughter sulking because the price of the new mobile phone she wants has gone up, it,s just one bloody thing after another in the Bat household lol.
On the plus side though, I,ve been a really good Bat I have. I,ve read all the notes about what I have to do and what not to do, and I,ve done scans and stuff, TO THE LETTER BTW, and I,ve even got it all in a folder so I can,t loose it. Now I am mystified because I have just sat and printed off a LOT of stuff that was already in my documents, so I know I,ve installed it correctly,( I had to stop because I ran out of print paper ffs) and I opened up a blank office word document thingy, or whatever it,s called and typed something and saved it to my documents. Then I went into my documents and clicked the little print icon and it printed it off quite happily, SO why didn,t my daughters? Very odd.
BTW, you know when you turn your printer on and it tells you that you have X amount of print jobs left, does it start from where you left off? Because if I have to start from page one again I shall go more batty than I am now!! ffs. :evil:@ugo wrote:

Go to START > SETTINGS > PRINTERS & FAXES – then check to see that your newly installed printer is set up as the “default printer”.
My guess is that when you sare trying to print off a document that has already been saved to your hard disk – Word is attempting to ‘print to file’ tather than print using your system printer.
Don,t you start picking on me already lol, it,s not my bloody fault if things don,t work, (well not all the time lol). Right I did that, but errr, how do I check that mine is the default printer? :?
It opened a box that says “Add printer” then it shows mine, and says it,s offline(because is isn,t plugged into the pc) then it has another box that says “Microsoft document image writer” whatever the hell that is, then another one that says, “microsoft xps document writer ready” .
Can,t see nowt anywhere that tells me if my printer is the default one or not. Bloody pile of junk it is. The way my language is going at the moment the bloody thing is going up the tip!! ffs.

Boy have I had fun this morning. I,ve reinstalled my printer, and it did work, BUT, this is the problem. My daughter had typed up some homework on my new microsft word thingy, (I forget what it’s proper name is) and saved it into documents ok? Then she went back later to finish it, THEN, when she clicked on the little print icon this bloody window keeps popping up to ask her if she wants to save it into a document, when it,s already there, it won,t print it off. If we click the file tab and scroll down to print it does the same thing, yet when I just typed something into a plain document and clicked print, it printed it, so WHY won,t it print her document? ffs. Why can,t things just bloody work. Oh and the internet, had fun with that too. I ended up running windows diagnostic tool and had to unplug the router for 3 mins and reconect everything and so far, it,s all working. My language has been somewhat colourfull this morning. ffs. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

Rotten orrible bloody swines the lot of ya. :lol: I have NOT fiddled with anything in the control panel young man, well that,s not strictly true, I did manage to change the wallpaper and the screensaver without making anything crash.I managed to plug it all in myself and turn it all on and it hasn,t blown up yet. Now all I want is for this effing useless poxy bloody printer to do what it,s supposed to bloody do………PRINT. ffs. :evil: I,ve found allsorts of interesting things in the registry though……………now what does THAT button do? :wink: :lol:
