Thank you all for your suggestions. Isle of Skye is where I really wanted to go, even found a lovely remote cottage on a cliff top, then I done AA Route Finder and it was gonna take 9 hours to get there :roll: dozy mare!!!!!

Anyway, think we have decided on Loch Lomond, beautiful but not too far to drive. Been there before and I loved it but it was with a “previous” so I was trying to go somewhere else :lol: . But nope, Loch Lomond it is. Now just gotta find a lodge/log cabin. Oh, thanks for your hotel suggstion Lucky, maybe last year that would have been an option but family/financial circumstances have changed somewhat :lol: .

Now that’s a thing I just can’t get…….raw oysters. Tried them once, and boy oh boy did I see them again rather quickly….bloody rank!!!!! I’m quite partial to them cooked but raw, it’s just wrong!
