Guides can only be on the site so many hours, most have jobs, families and social lives.
The implication being that people who aren’t guides don’t have any of those things? Regardless, I just asked in forum 2 when the last time anyone saw a chat guide, I got answers of just over a week and a month. Other people didn’t know what a chat guide does, or that they even existed.
As Martin said if you want to complain about the guides why not submit the form to become one yourself.
That isn’t really a very professional attitude, I know that guides don’t get paid, but the site still charges money so complaints should be listened to. And in reply to what Martin said, I’ve done chat room moderation before, I don’t really think I would want to do that again, and I don’t think I would fit in very well here anyway.
26 November, 2016 at 10:32 am #1010773We have had Chancellor of the Exchequer for the last 6 years who’s only qualification was a 2:1 in ‘Modern History’ (When your degree title is an oxymoron, that’s a good sign). His replacement doesn’t seem to be that much of an improvement either, but at least he actually has a qualification in ecconomics.
26 November, 2016 at 10:24 am #1010772In regards to paid membership, if you forced all members to pay then it would kill the site overnight, most users would not pay when there are free alternatives available.
As for the guides, I’ve only seen them in the chat forums twice in all the months i’ve been on JC, and they only there for 30 seconds before leaving again. The chat rooms are effectively entirely unmoderated.

26 November, 2016 at 1:10 am #1010745Some of the evidence is very weak I will agree with you there. He owns books about Nazis (allegedly), but that doesn’t mean anything. I own an English translation of the Quran, does that mean if I was investigated by the police they would come to the conclusion that I am a muslim? (I’m an athiest)

I don’t know if he is an extremist or not. I have a lot of doubts about the story that is presented, as do you. I’m not really sure what you are trying to imply about me.
26 November, 2016 at 12:32 am #1010730Walked two miles to murder an MP and tried walking way afterwards. Might not make sense to you. Makes perfect sense to me. The worlds most monitored country.. CCTV… and this man walked… Bless.
You seem to expect someone with mental health issues to act in a perfectly rational manner?
25 November, 2016 at 9:08 pm #1010718There is no evidence of an increace in hate crimes, at most there is a slight increase in reports (that doesn’t mean they actually happened) and new things being classified as hate crimes that prevously weren’t reported as hate crimes. I don’t even think the category of hate crime should exist, it doesn’t serve any purpose.
I’m not claiming that there is a BBC cover up, I just don’t believe a word they say about anything. The evidence against them is their constant and open lies about anything that promotes their political narative. I will give an example, just this week they were still claiming that Keith Lamont Scott was unarmed, there is clear evidence that he was.
25 November, 2016 at 12:12 pm #1010683So it’s the responsibility of the BBC to do the reporting on extremism in the US, don’t the yanks have any channels that do news anymore, guess Fox, NBC etc. must have gone bust
I’m sure it happens here too, but its hard to find examples of because nobody talks about it. The US news doesn’t report on it either, i’m only aware of it because of independent people on the internet.
