The primary driver of prices, not physical supply and demand.
That’s how prices work.
Not with the housing market, its what people can afford to borrow and the size of there deposits. If you go on any mortgage calculator website its terrifying how much people can borrow with little or no deposit. Whole life mortgages means they can borrow a lot more too.
No comodity is exempt from the law of supply and demand.
If demand grows faster than supply then price goes up.
I know know why you mentioned borrowing or mortages, they aren’t relevent.
Increasing the supply of money would increase the demand for higher end housing (very slightly), but it wouldnt have any effect on lower end housing.
I’m not sure wot world Dra’s is living in… its not the same as mine
The real one?
Datamining is a huge industry, several of the largest companies in the world deal almost exclusively in it.
Google being the most famous example, every product and service they have ever created runs at a loss. they only exist to collect data about people that they can sell.
It will mostly be used for is for targeting adverts, like all data is. I dont feel like explaining it so I will let someone else.
E.G. Anonymous medical data says that someone who is 50-60 years old had X operation on Y date. Your bank knows how old you are, and that you paid hospital car parking charges on Y date, and bought painkillers afterwards.
Now they know which medical records are yours even if all of your personal data is removed. It’s very easy to do this even with things that seem unrelated when you have access to a large enough set of data about someone.
The bank can now add your medical records to their own database, and use it to decide they they dont want to give you a mortgage because you are too much of a risk because of medical issues.
They can now also sell this new data to other companies, because its valuable so why not?
Mr Fishy Topics: 8 Replies: 155 I feel sharing medical information is important. They can give my records to anyone they want. Let me tell you why: these are treatment records. A list of all the drugs and treatment you have had since you were born. In the last few years existing drugs were found to treat other issues beyond there original scope. If we think of the humble aspirin: originally this drug was just used for headaches. Today its a heart treatment, used for Kawasaki disease, pericarditis, and rheumatic fever. Its been around 1897 too. So if my medical records help researchers find cheap existing drugs with a proven safety record who am I to say no?

Although my point wasn’t that the NHS would sell data officially.
Like with any large organisation lots of people have access to data that they can sell off to make money on the side with little to no risk of ever being caught.
So a pair of standard ice trays will produce enough ice for a 4 litre air cooler for 12 hours if 1/2 of one tray is used. But there another way. If marble stones were used instead of ice cubes, you’d only have to replace them once a day due to being a metamorphic rock.
Doesn’t matter if its water or stone, the law of conservation of energy still applies to both. In the case of water the heat is transfered out of the water and into the air, which causes it to freeze. This is then re-absorbed from the air when it later melts.
However as I already said, the freezer requires energy to transfer heat out of the water/stone into the air, so there is a net increase in energy, which means it will get warmer.
