If you’re not hugely interested normally, from the 27th minute, is how Gordon Brown should lead, a trully unbelievably rousing speech spoken with emense passion and desire.

Depends if the national team means anything to you?

It means alot, so that means we should have Harry, but if not Alan.

Managing leicester and the national team are not exactly the same kettle of fish, Leics was a cr.ap club with low expectations so it didnt matter if he fcked up.

 he was booed 3 months in, infact a sit-in protest, so it did matter.

Martin had almost 10yrs managing experience before he took over at Leicester.

What do those clubs matter or what he did? Which was NOTHING, which is why what he did at Leicester was incredible considering his managerial past, and resources.

Best Striker around must naturally make him a great manager?

Nope, but you havn’t told me why he shouldn’t be manager other than he hasn’t been a manager. Ive given you experience in the modern game, that no manager considered has.

Again nobody gave a monkeys about watford

You dont mind showing your ignorance.
The point is he was successful, but not as a player.

So if Sven, Mickey Mac Clown Claren who have experience at club level of being managers can’t do it, you trying to say someone with no experience can do it better

Of course, and he could also be worse, Jose could be worse, capello could be worse, sven and maclaren were as “qualified” as any manager in the world considering their club jobs, but they failed,

There is SIMPLY no qualification that says you’re qualified to be a successfull England manager,

THUS, Alan Shearer is as “qualified” as most in the frame.

Therefore, seeing as he’s a very proud Englishman, he’s respected in the game, played and captained England not long ago, with Bobby Robson in the background, theres no reason to assume he’d fail.

If klinsman can do it for germany…

You can’t have Shearer as manager, what has he ever done to prove he can even manage, let alone manage well. It’s the same scenario with Stuart Pearce last time round, he was tipped to be manager, what a joke that that was, where is he now!

    What had klinsman done?

    Does it absolutely matter?

Martin o’neill hadn’t done anything managerial wise untill he came to Leicester. Then within 18 months he geared us to the best season we’d ever had.

No one knows for absolute who is the best, but to say that a very proud Englishman who not that long ago played for and captained England, was one of the best strikers the premiership has ever seen etc etc

If Graham donkey taylor can be successful with watford without EVER playing the game, then theres no definate qualification needed.

Simply put, if robinson, neville, ferdinand, terry, cole, phillips, gerrard, barry, cole, rooney and owen are all fit to play, millions would go with it, some would play lamps.

You’re telling me Alan hasn’t the knowledge to pick them, and guide them to do what comes naturally to them, just cos he hasn’t managed…its not rocket science.

No not at all, if the manager did everything, you wouldnt have, goal keeper coaches etc, the manager does not much more than pick the team and pick the tactics when it comes down to it.
But the manager tells the coaches what he wants the players to learn. No good coach vinny jones teaching a midfielder what he knows if the manager is Harry Redknapp.

Football is quite simple, over complecated by people to give the impression they know something the rest dont.

Alan Shearer knows alot about the modern game, not long finished playing it.

Rafa has won the European Cup, Uefa Cup in back to back seasons, and the European Cup final runner up, won spanish league title, and other various cups he has won as manager excellent pedigree on paper, but no way would i want him as England manager.
Me either, but when we talk about managerial success, you concentrate on the champions league, which is harder to win than the world cup, Carlo Ancelotti is by far the most successful.

if you’re seriously suggesting Alan Shearer for England manager, you learnt f/uck all

    Why shouldn’t it be Alan?

Jurgen klinsman did ok for germany. Infact he did so well he’s one of the front contenders for England as a result.

I would however have Shearer in the England staff and having a role of some description.

To teach the players to play well? Aint that what a manager does…

Manuel Almunia has confirmed his intention to press ahead and claim international recognition for England.
So we don’t need to worry about Carson, Robinson, James, Kirkland, Green, cos we will have a spanish goal keeper who is desperate and we will take him, what a laughing stock we will be.

    Weve got Ray clemence.

If we want a foreigner with WINNING experience, Carlo Ancelotti’s won TWO European Champions Leagues with AC Milan in the past 5 years, and finalists with Liverpool.

THREE finals in 5 years, very impressive.

well steve mclaren went to a few, and he knew f all

Thats a tad unfair, he was No.2 under sven who qualified 100%, maclaren also took middlesboro to the uefa cup final via a carling cup win.

Im not saying maclaren is king, it was disgracefull we didn’t beat macedonia at home, then andora away, but with SIX first team players out V croasia, we’d surely not lost, thats not his fault.

Couple all that with the media intrusion, not easy.

I’d love Harry Redknapp, but the FA are a bunch of retardo’s of the highest order, so im begging the public to meet them retardo’s half way.

    Alan Shearer.

Yes so funny, remeber when he said “ive only been in the job 5 days”

He was shaking in parliament the other day, you could see white bits in his knuckles.

He’s not the kind of man to take experienced advice, choosing to surround himsen with the young ones who dont know jack.

this coupled with the fact that half his own party are against him doesnt hold water with me..

Revolt is nigh, can with have 10 downing street bunker PPV

and i still think nick griffin, if allowed a platform would give labour a run for their money in a lot of areas. i know he would here, and its not a colour thing.

Nick’s day will absolutely come, and you’re right, black and asian people vote BNP.

Its currently like a managerial merry-go-round, foreigners saying maybe i’ll do it, maybe the FA will invite me to an expensive wine n dine talk sesh.

Alan is English, he’s watched the managerial England job very closely, he wont need persuading or £6 million football fans dosh via the turnstyles, he’ll do it for his country.

Yurgen klansman did well at germany, why not Shearer?

Emma, talk about something you know about, this is football.
