Im not sure if this is quite on track for this thread but i tend to think that its not fair to clear your own conscience at the expense of someone elses peace of mind.
THIS IS NOT MEANT FOR OR AT ANYONE IN HERE!!
This is something that came up in my own life a few years ago and it is something that has sat with me since. If someone feels guilty about something that they have done, then let their punishment, if they feel they need it, be their guilt. They do not have the right to make clear their conscience and make themselves feel better by destroying another persons peace of mind.
