The constitution states that parliament must always be sovereign. This is clearly isn’t the case with EU membership, and so is unconstitutional.
But let’s not pretend that the constitution is actually ever applied. This isn’t an area I know a lot about, but even I know of a few laws that directly contradict what the constitutional documents say.

Funny that, they didn’t care about our non-existant constitution when we joined the EU/EC.

Labour is dead, i’ve been saying this for a few months now.
Parliment voted to to trigger article 50 by March at the very latest, 461 to 89. I don’t see any reason for the government to be worried, it has legitimacy from both the referendum and parliment now.

Why is it that you think that no muslim can be accepted into our society. I have several friends who are muslim, I can promise you that they pose no threat (although none of them live in Britain).

I don’t really understand your position Skep, if there wasn’t anywhere for the political threads to go then saying to ignore them would be understandable. But the Getting Serious board seems like an appropriate place to move them to.
Do you have a problem with the threads being moved?

This really depends on your definition of which countries are in Asia, I usually think of the Middle East as being seperate, which only leaves Pakistan as a muslim country of any significant size. But for the sake of discussion, lets include Iran and Saudi Arabia, I don’t think there are many Brits living there.

I dont mean to make the argument personal, but this ilustrates your lack of knowlage on the subject. Most Muslim countries are small and don’t really cause many problems, the only large ones are Afganistan and Pakistan, with minority groups in India and China.
But for the sake of discussion, lets include Iran and Saudi Arabia (which I dont…[Read more]

The most important thing is food, which we don’t have to buy from Europe. I’m sure Australian and New Zealand farmers would be interested in increacing production for export, and being less reliant on trade relationships with China.
I would prefer EFTA membership of all the Brexit options, which would still give us membership to the single…[Read more]

That wasn’t an orgnisied group of Nazis, which is what we are talking about. But as I said in the other thread, i’m not really sure how much of the evidence linking him to nazis I believe.
I haven’t really seen very much evidence of that, but I would have thought the BNP would be more aligned with their views than UKIP.
The Nazis were a…[Read more]
