It is looking that way, but it’s their own fault.

I think we will leave still, and it’s the EU who is trying to shit on the people. Junker has said that no EU member should have referendums from this point on as the people make bad choices.

The disagreement is that your point is invalid. The terms of rejoining would not be the same as we have now, sepecifically adopting the Euro (If it still exists by then).

No, all religious symbols are banned in public. What you are talking about is the classification of the hijab / niqab / burka as a religious symbol, which it is (even though it originally came from greek traditions).
Then he is wrong, although I agree that it should be punished.
I disagree strongly, I see no case for hate crimes to…[Read more]

Last time that I checked, 48% is still less than 52%.
Where did you get those numbers from? And didn’t you claim that France had overtaken us with no hope of return a few weeks ago?
The idea that we would ever rejoin the EU is misguided. There is virtually no support for joining the Eurozone or Schengen, which we would have to. Not that…[Read more]

Freedom of religion isn’t a value held by all western countries. Frence laicite bans most forms of public worship or religious iconography.
And no western country has freedom of speach, especially since the introduction of hate crimes. But an older example would be incitement to violence being illegal.

I generally categorise Muslims into 4 groups, although I haven’t made the distinction in my discussion here I probably should have done.
Jihadist
A muslim who commits acts of violence in the name of Islam.
Islamist
A muslim who pushes the political ideology of Islam, usually are supportive of the Jihadists.
Fundamentalist
A muslim who…[Read more]

The Lib Dems got completely wiped out in the last general election, as Martin said. What makes you think people will suddenly start trusting them again?

You are correct, but it is a piece of a larger picture, other studies on general populations (In France and Germany as well as the UK) show similar patterns.
The way that Jews specifically, and to a lesser degree atheists are talked about in the Quran is written very much differently than anything you will find in the Bible.

Your assessment of Islam is largely accurate BB, it’s as much a political ideology as a religion which is where it differers from christianity and most people don’t understand this. It is worth mentioning of course that not all muslims are Islamists, even if a narrow majority appear to be.
Not quite sure I agree with you on this one, there are…[Read more]

That study is specifically students yes, I can find another study on general populations if you wish, there are quite a few with similar results. I recieved the link that this particular study from a professional sociologist, with a confirmation that the methodology and sampling strategies were solid, right leanng or not. (He had some criticism of…[Read more]

32% think that killing in the name of religion, is justified.
Again this is not a majority, but its one of the more extreme questions asked in the study. An example of a majority would be 59% think that women should wear a hijab.

33% Of Muslim students in the UK are supportive of a GLOBAL SHARIA CALIPHATE.
Yes, this particular statistic is not a direct majority, but only 25% are non-supportive, so a majority of them who have an oppinion on this support it.
