That sounds nasty. Can you tell us what the file is called and what the file extension is (i.e. does it end in ”.exe” for example)? knowing this may assist in identifying what it is and how it does its thing.

My first guess is that the file contains a ”Macro” that auto replicates itself when it is activated by a delete command.
