I’ve often wondered, as I watch the agonised breast beatings of the ‘concerned’ liberal classes, what might have happened if the Iraq invasion (acting under the authority of the UN apparently) did NOT take place.

Kindly old Saddam would still be in power; the Sunni extremists would still be suppressed or murdered; Saddam’s family would still be stealing money from the country and salting it away in overseas banks; the Kurds and the marsh Arabs would still be killed off in their thousands – if any would still be left that is; The Ba’ath Party would continue to reign supreme and all other forms of religious or political organisation would still be ruthlessly suppressed; and so on and so forth.

I am irresistably drawn to the conclusion that the regime of murder, torture, rape, political suppression of all minorities was no different from that which currently exists in a number of African, South American and Far Eastern countries.

With that in mind, I cannot help thinking that the constant clamour for ‘public enquiries’ and suchlike and the current Chilcott enquiry, are simply an exercise in self flagellation.
After all, if (as we all suspect it will) Chilcott concludes that the invasion of Iraq was ‘illegal’ etc …… so what??? It’s done now and we all have to bear the consequences.

I hear the sound of stable doors being slammed shut and bolted several years after the horse shat itself inside.

I notice that the Media are studiously avoiding criticising the UN – under whose auspices so many nations contributed to the invasion and conquest of Iraq. It wasn’t just the US and ourselves that did it.

………its a shame those who dont post dont post on this thread and tell us why they dont post anymore..

Without wishing unduly to poke logical holes in your argument, but if a user has ceased to post ….. how can they then post the reasons for this cessation?

If only I knew then what I know now ….. I’d have had the knickers off my next door neighbour’s daughter.

If my ‘performance’ then was what it is now – I’d have been wasting my time (and hers).

The Left wing bigoted rant reported above from Professor Dikey made me wonder about something.

If all the militant feminist loonies in the world burned their bras …… would it increase global warming???

Chances are that it wouldn’t fit into an elderly spinster’s ‘letterbox’ either.

    **** DISCLAIMER ****

Neither JustChat nor its Staff (and that includes me folks) can accept any responsibility whatsoever for any loss injury or damage, howsoever caused, arising directly or indirectly out of any pranks played by its members or readers.

For the record, JustChat and its Staff (that means me again folks) strongly deprecates the practice of wiggling a big green cucumber through an old Spinster’s letterbox and stating or implying that it is a Martian’s penis by shouting “Oh My God … the Martians have landed.”

It must be recognised that this practice is highly dangerous and could lead to unsatisfied cravings on the part of the elderly Spinster. JustChat also draws to the attention of its readers or members the various provisions of the Misrepresentation Act 1967.

I thought it might have been a Temple, something from the ancient wonders of the world, but was going to say King Herod’s temple.

    Clever stuff :)

An awful lot of Masonic ‘ritual’ is constructed around the building of King Solomon’s temple. The more ‘traditional’ (i.e. elderly) Masons take this stuff literally. the more enlightened ones realise that it is allegorical and is a ‘morality play’.

That said, the bloke who wrote the parody copied the content and particularly the peculiar syntax to perfection.

hes a geodie fckin hell didnt even notice

Only when he speaks, Will. When he sings his strong Geordie accent disappears, as if by magic.

Same thing applies to Stacey. She doesn’t sing in a Dagenham/ Essex accent. Mind you, can you just imaging her singing the same way that she speaks??? Whitney Houston’s “I will always love you” sung in the style of a gormless Wurzel Gummidge. The mind boggles.

Absolutely spot on Cath…… you are so right.

Too many people seem to have focussed on ‘poor little Amanda’ whilst totally forgetting that Meredith Kercher was viciously murdered in her own home by a group of people hell bent on having a drugged up sex orgy with her, whether she (Meredith) wanted to take part or not.

We read in today’s papers how Amanda Knox ‘cried herself to sleep’ last night as she spent her first night in jail as a convicted murderess. Apparently she was ‘comforted’ by her cell mates and given a nice cup of warm milk to help her sleep. Poor thing, she must be feeling so depressed and having been caught and convicted. Never mind – only another 22 years and 364 days to go eh?

Oh and here’s another bloody irritant. It seems that ‘the whole of the USA’ is up in arms at the ‘unfairness’ of the Italian legal system. Knox was innocent they allege and defence groups are being formed on Facebook as we speak.

Yeah right ….. sure she was innocent and Meredith Kercher ripped her own clothes off and threw herself, throat first, onto Knox’s knife in front of Knox’s boyfriends, none of whom were there. Yeah … sure she did.

As I said earlier on …. the gay vote would only carry Danyl so far and tonight his train came off the tracks. Although he was a reasonably good singer, he sure seemed to have several personal issues (according to the Tabloids anyway) and that might also have swayed the voting. BTW have you ever seen a mouth as large as his when fully open???

I would love the gormless Stacey Solomon to do well as she seems to have a nice voice. However, if they interview her – that will be the kiss of death to her hopes and wishes for stardom. She will come third.

Olly is a strong contender as he sure has a confident stage presence. Somehow I see him more as a ‘song & dance’ man rather than a pop star. I think he will come second.

Geordie Joe Mc Thingummyjig appears to have the whole package. Very good looking lad who will appeal to all the pubescent teenies as well as to the ‘more mature’ woman. He will also benefit from the transfer of Danyl’s ‘gay’ vote. Nice open smile that will impress many toothpaste advertising executives – plenty of room here for sponsorship. Oh and amazingly, he can sing in tune as well. Yup Geordie Joe to win.
