It would appear Langstraat, that you and I have similar views on today’s ”text” generation. I sometimes despair at the apallingly poor standard of literacy, the apparent inability to spell even the simple words, much less polysyllabic ones and the use of ‘texting’ type abbreviations which surely amounts to pure laziness.
It would appear that the study of grammar is a thing of the past (when was parsing last taught at secondary school level?). The only modern language that today’s children speak is Effing, (effing this and effing that).
