Yes and in this particular context ”News of the Screws” is pretty accurate – apparently.

What’s the betting that they win their appeal?

Sky, ITN and the BBC were all lined up to do news items on this week’s launch of The BUAV’s undercover investigation of industrial scale factory farming of monkeys to feed the western research industry – but the Home Office leant on them and they pulled coverage at the last minute.

I admire your concern for animals, but claiming the Home Office controls the media is
    pure fantasy!

Owen is quite right. The Home Office can’t even control the things is is supposed to control so taking on the media – ha bloody ha.

I’ve just watched the lovely Tommy perform on the BBC’s Question Time – being held in Glasgow.

He really is terribly aggressive isn’t he? Never smiles, always scowls at everybody. I can see why his ”colleagues” in the SSP wanted rid of him.

He currently trades as ‘Co-Founder – Solidarity’. I thought they were Polish ffs. Still I guess that anything that smacks of old style Stalinism is OK by ‘oor Tammie”

Oh don’t worry, they’d find somebody. Then they could send in the US Marines complete with the world’s press all lined up to watch them go charging off their landing crafts fully equipped with water bottles, Coca-Cola and camouflage paint.

Oi..just lay off Tommy Sheridan and his mum At least SHE’S got a son she can be proud of..one that stands up for the working people..one prepared to fight against the filth, lies and muck that have been thrown at him by those with everything to gain by having him silenced.

Oh yes I quite forgot – he is a working class hero fighting for the downtrodden masses isn’t he. Mind you his party (who presumably represent the ‘masses’) appear to have parted company with him. I wonder why????

Don’t I remember him winning a libel case against a tabloid newspaper and then subsequently it was alleged that he was a wee bit economical with the truth in his defence statement??? Wasn’t it something to do with him getting a bit over-excited with the ladies in a night club ??? Perhaps it was a totally different Tommy Sheridan.

OMG !!! I’m sitting here sobbing for that poor poor person who was soooo unfairly bullied. I think I’ll go and light a candle in loving memory of him/her.
