My least favourite scenario (but one that we come across all too often) is as follows:
Male & female meet in chatroom – they engage in a PC which inevitably leads to some form of …er…. ‘closer relationship’ – they fall madly passionately & deeply in ‘lurve’- female gives male loads of personal information about herself including her mobile number; e-mail addy, and even her private address – several hours later (occasionally a couple of days) female decides that male is not for her and dumps him.
Now here’s the ‘fun’ bit :roll: :roll: :roll: . Male , having been dumped (or publicly swapped for a better endowed / younger male) becomes aggrieved at the loss of his one true lurve in life and proceeds to bombard the female with abuse by way of retaliation for her callous dumping / use of his ‘services’.
You’ll never in a million years guess who get blamed for all this ….. nor will you ever guess who is expected to somehow sort it all out, prevent the abuse; and provide relationship guidance counselling.

So there you have it. Another one for the JC scrap book – a major league complaint made about the wrong person. Everybody jumping on the bandwaggon defending the indefensible. Ah the joys of being a ChatGuide eh?
It’s a bloody miracle that any of them want to do it at all – much less 24/7.
Ah Bat – you’ve given me an idea. How about a “Moaners” room in one of the Forums?
They could all go in there whenever the mood takes them (all the time) and moan at each other endlessly about how they were booted “for no reason”; or how they were “just defending themselves and their kids” when they got booted for typing in a tirade of abuse.
Then there are those who want to moan that their moans have been ignored. They could go into the Moaners room and moan on endlessly whilst all the others ignore them as well.
Best of all, it wouldn’t require any moderation from ChatGuides as they’d all be so busy moaning on and on that they’d not have time to cause any problems.
Of course we’d have to disable the ‘iggy button’ ……….. er …. no …. on second thoughts there’s no need – the moaners don’t use it anyway.
