i had loads of soldiers as a kid,and i still  have  to this day,my faves were,harvey,lone star,and crescent,infact i still buy them now and again from e bay but i never used them for fighting i made them into footballers,so what i did two subutteeo nets and a ball played on the carpet and did a league table so a typical fixture  would be

cowboys,v indians(bit of a local derby)

british army v germans

guards v sailors

knights v  commandos

 

i dont do it now of course

 

anybody remember a presenter called terry christian,well hes a fellow manc,i read his book a few years ago,and found out he was well into  toy soldiers,so i got in touch with him and we used to do swapsies
