I had a ring in my jewellery box that I don’t even know where it came from, it had no sentimental value and was gold and diamond, I took it to one of these gold places who offered me a whole £7 for it lol… am sure it was worth more than that for the diamond alone.. so i told them to bog off and that I would rather keep it gathering dust in the box. I think these companies are a complete con.

An individual shouldn’t be allowed to play God, that said when I watched my dad dying we all prayed that his suffering would end and therefore I can sympathise with this woman. Watching someone you love fade and suffer is a hard thing and you stop thinking with clarity. However, I think assisted suicide should be allowed if it can be proved that it is the wishes of the person and a medical council agree. Suicide is no longer illegal, so why should someone who is life limited or has a severe affliction not be allowed to have someone help them to do it if they are unable to do it for themselves.
Death is always going to be a difficult subject. I do feel that this lady did the wrong thing in making the decision for herself but without walking a day in her shoes it is hard to pass a real judgement on how her life with her son was… lets face it he wasn’t the only one with the affliction.

i have seen a few and no matter how horrific the approach to death the moment it happens tends to be peaceful… the body is flooded with endorphins that make this happen.

Death is a very peaceful process and a transition and there is nothing to be scared of. I am more scared of missing something when I am gone lol
