Tres funny.12 July, 2011 at 3:05 pm #473307I used to think ppl deserved a second chance. Went as far as taking back my cheating ex fiancé who turned out to use his second chance to keep cheating. Once the trust has gone in a relationship it’s hard for both parties to sort through it.
I don’t think once a cheat always a cheat though.12 July, 2011 at 2:49 pm #473260When my Gran died 2 years ago I was on the bed with her, nuzzling in to behind her and talking in her ear as she passed. Afterwards I felt compelled to stay with her. My sister opened a window (apparently that’s what they do on her ward when someone passes over). Anyway I sat for 40 minutes alone with her after she had died. Just looking at her, stroking her hair and generally feeling like I couldn’t leave her – she still needed someone there. A little while later the Marie Curie nurse and a community sister came in to lay my Grans body out ready for the undertaker. I stepped out while they did this. A few seconds later they called my name – as they prepared my Gran a huge White feather floated down from the ceiling. No feather pillows no duvet in the room. I like to think the Angels had come to guide her and my feeling of waiting was so she wasn’t alone in either world until it was done.
Maybe I’m a crackpot who knows.
12 July, 2011 at 8:22 am #473328My mum hit 60 this year and absolutely refuses to grow old. She has no intention of doing so and still wears her jeans and trendy clothes, has a good hair cut and still looks good with her size 10-12 figure. When we go to the garden centre she looks around at the older people there and says that she will never see herself wearing the clothes they do. She did say at what point is she meant to wear a cardi and skirt!
I’m glad she is like that – it makes my getting old more repressed too :-D12 July, 2011 at 8:14 am #453048What a day today …. Miniest me’s sports day this morning, next mini me’s sports day this afternoon, then off to see my niece in the lead as Joseph in the school production!
