Is he usually with another person pats? I wonder if they normally work in pairs, and on this occasion the paramedic was alone, and therefore it would have been against regulations to have left the car. But if that is the case, the rules are an ass!

If I lived in London, I would vote for the jellied eel….. I mean Boris.

Stop being a drama queen PB!

The fact is that if the paramedic had left the safety of their car, they may have been able to save a life. That is what they are trained to do.

It is however a sad indictment of our society that we are having this discussion at all.

She may be, but i’m not :(

And.. on the subject of supporting your local team, I lived outside Liverpool when i was a nipper and have supported them since I was 5.

There is a saying that rules are made to be broken. The paramedic may have been given instructions to wait for backup, but every human being is born with freedom of choice.

I don’t know if anyone watched the Shawshank Redemption recently. Love that film. And Porridge is also being re-run at the moment. I think that prisoners will always find ways to get access to luxuries, there will always be a demand and people will always be willing to barter. Maybe it is now too easy inside now, but you will always get repeat offenders and people who are institutionalised. The old guy from the Shawshank who was let out after having been inside for most of his life, he couldn’t cope on the outside and hung himself.

I don’t know what it would be like to be in prison, and I don’t ever intend to find out. To be locked up with people you may not like for months on end. Would be like being in JC with no way of leaving and no Off button. :)

    I know I couldn’t make a decision like that. To end a child’s life.

I assume they are giving him drugs to try and control some of his symptoms, but they must be walking a tightrope as he must need large doses and he is so tiny. It is just so very sad.

Thank you for posting that Bat. What a heart rending account from a very brave woman.
