Its obscene to make money at the expense of people’s health. And they have had the ability to take the nicotine out of cigarettes since the 50s. And the only reason people get addicted is because of the nicotine. People could then smoke or not and wouldn’t have got addicted. They didn’t because they thought it would drive cigarettes with nicotine in them under the counter!

I don’t know the ins and outs of marketing…. but when so much money is spent on branding and advertising, you have to assme that companies do it because it works. Without any branding at all companies may well decide that the product is no longer sustainable and stop making them. Less brands to choose from will push pricing up as the competition is less. My guess is that cigarettes will become more expensive, not less.

I guess the only people who will care are the people who are addicted to cancer sticks, and the companies who make vast fortunes out of their nicotine habit.

Went to see it last night.. was beautiful. I saw it in 3D. The plot line in my opinion was a bit weak, and some of the characters were caricatures, but there was not a dull moment, i was on the edge of my seat for a lot of it, and I even got a bit tearful at one point too.

I loved it. I deliberately didn’t read up much about it before I went, but I don’t think it would have mattered if I had. And people moaned about the 3D glasses, but never noticed i was even wearing them.

I wish we had an IMEX cinema here, I would love to see it on an IMEX screen. If you have the choice folks… go for the best cinema you can find. It is simply stunning visually.
