ironically i hate bourbon and Irish whiskey ! I mean..one would assume its all similar.but its bloody NOT !
macallan and antiquary and that wee bottle panda has..

I prefer Moray, Orkney or Highland malt to Western Isles malt, but don’t write off all bourbon. Forget Jack Daniels and Jim Beam and go for Maker’s Mark or Woodford Reserve both of which are high quality drinks.
Not that I have tried enough whisky, whiskey or bourbon to know……….

Ask anyone round here.
Hope you’re new and not a rehashed oldie trying to make an impact, although if you are, that’s fine – just come clean soon.
Welcome to the mad mad world.

Kenty’s far too discerning to fall for my wiles, ML, so I resort to the comforts of the single malt . . . . .
I’ll join you for that single malt later.

I’m economising, so it’s Teacher’s atm, the only blended I find tolerable straight.
Coughs and pulls a face at the thought of straight whiskey :-… might as well drink petrol… cheaper too…. just :D
I can do Orkney, Macallan, Dalwhinie, Moray, or if you prefer American, Maker’s Mark.
I am a man of exquisite taste, don’t you know.

Keeping somebody in prison for thirty years and then trotting them out to be executed does not seem like justice to me.
I agree on two counts.
- You can’t have justice if you take a life – that’s revenge. It may feel good but you have just taken the life of another human being, which is the same as the “criminal” who committed the murder in the first place. The state should not commit crimes as part of “justice,” no matter the provocation – that is the basis of a civilised society.
It is also torturing someone to make them wait for 30 years fearing being executed. That makes us no better than the criminal.
People should be made to think about their crimes, for the rest of their life if necessary.
I say these things with apologies to those who think differently. This is such an emotive topic and people have such different experiences.
