Well we will have to agree to disagree on this one Ruby… I agree that bankers were a contributing factor in the financial chaos we all face… but lets not forget they were Gordon Browns best friends when they were creating what was mistakenly thought to be wealth for the country.

I dont agree with bankers getting bonuses whilst ever they are in debt to the taxpayer… but dont think the sum of all their bonuses would make one iota of difference to the problems we face.. it would be a drop in the ocean. Everyone on the planet has seen their pensions eroded….the public sector pensions will still be far better than private ones ….even with the proposed government cut backs.

One last thing….. Jeremy Clarkson… yes an idiot but his remarks were clearly tongue in cheek comments by someone known for controversial statements. I think calling the police in is ridiculous and a slight against the British sense of humour… bad taste I agree…. but come on… not criminal :?

I agree to drink over the limit is wrong… and actually kenty you made some good points.. I never drink and drive…. its just all this legislation… we cant do this or that and cameras all over the place…

Im sure one day we will all ask why did we give up so much of our freedom?

Having said that.. on this particular one I might have to admit its not a bad idea.

Actually I have been into a few pubs lately that have a Costa Coffee franchise within the pub… is that just a Yorkshire thing?

A pension contract that is unsustainable.. and a burden on tax payers…… there is simply not enough money in the pot. Private pensions have lost value not just in this country but throughout the world why do the public sector feel they are immune to the problems the rest od us have to face??… common sense should prevail here… if people conclude you are greedy it maybe you should consider what the rest of the developed world is having to accept.
