You harped on about it first and sympathised with these criminals by admitting your own failings as a parent.Now the McCanns want the investigation re – opened.

And on top of it all, I don’t think this was a clear case of abduction. If it was a paedophile, why not take the other daughter too?
A child snatching ring that kidnapped kids to order so they could be sold would have plotted to take all three McCann children – they had the opportunity.
Who is to say Madeline just didn’t just wake up, panic to find her parents not there and wander off in search of them? Wander off to meet a grisly end in the sea?
Also, the McCanns, with their neglect were lucky they had two children to come back to – a fire could have easily wiped all three out.

Not knowing is causing some consternation with some posters here and it is affecting the harmony that as you know is usual on these boards.

Well having looked at the map of exactly where the Tapas bar is situated I have to agree it was irresponsible to leave the children as they did… however, I do think this has turned into a witch hunt. They have more than paid for their neglect.. I still think people should get over it and focus on the crime, and the perpetrator.
By the way I would not condone people leaving their children in that situation… but when my children were younger I have used the hotel listening service when on holiday… and I might add there were other parents in the same situation doing exactly the same thing.
Not the same situation I agree…. but does that make me a bad parent…. I think not, doubtless though there are some people who think it does.
