I have a friend lives in Grenada she went there years ago on a teaching exchange and ended up marrying a Grenadian guy. That’s about 20 years ago, recently she was diagnosed with cancer and her husband also has health problems, they have Health Insurance but all their treatments are mainly done in Barbados so they have the continual expense of getting there (not covered by their insurance) They have no state assistance and are presently living off savings so things look grim for them, all a worry. If she could she would return but her husband will not hear of it so she is just living day to day. THANK GOODNESS FOR THE NHS

Actually blossom I have friends in Brisbane and the main thing they miss about the UK is the seasons, so I know what you mean about equilibrium… wish it were summer though :D

I was looking at some old threads here, its easy to see how pats and fastcars decided to start their own chat site as they were so active here, and there is no doubt they are missed. There were others though very active for instance this guy UGO… who was he? and I wonder where is he now? maybe some of the regulars might know?
