Has admitted (on tv) that he once gave his wife a black eye. :?
She probably deserved it.
Ah well, joke or not, at least I’ve just found out it’s not just Chameleon can make me feel a bit sick on these boards.
Violence as a response to verbals?
No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No!
And in case that didn’t make my point, No!
And that’s regardless of how ‘intelligent and powerful’ the words are.
Physical action to prevent or restrain genuine physical aggression is one thing. Striking the first blow in an argument? Never!.
And that probably says more about your political correctness than it does about light heartedness. Read what Pols says, she makes sense, you just drivel. Women have no right to drive men (or otherwise) to distraction and then bleat physical abuse because of the consequences. Everyone has a breaking point irrelevant of sex.
No bleating, Denis Waterman admitted to hitting her.
I agree with Words, you make me shudder with your attitude. 8-[

Not denying that fact panda merely saying sometimes people can be pushed beyond the limit of all reason, and didnt know the story behind this, was he a regular wife beater, did it happen once what caused it etc ?
He’s been married 4 times and admits to hitting wife no. 3 as she was strong and intelligent and he couldn’t win an arguement against her, or get a word in edgewise.
Now if she had thumped him, or physically attacked him then I could understand to an extent.
13 May, 2012 at 3:14 pm #496335Violence in any capacity is wrong. Surely someone who restorts to violence is lacking in something?

I thought it was a really good interview…………yes he admitted that but he was full of regret………you could hear that in his voice……….a man that is nothing like the characters he has played.

I didn’t see the interview but wife beaters usually are full of regret…until the next time…
I wouldn’t describe him as a wife beater.
He’s on his fourth marriage but only ever hit his 3rd wife so I guess I’m with you on this one.

Christ, I would! I remember seeing the picture of her in the papers, deffo one black eye (if not two), fractured arm, and nose!
I believe it was one black eye, but he was still violent. He said he hadn’t done it before or since.
