Sorry but this typo made me laugh…how many episodes and have I missed the pilot?

    LOL

My mate skidded twice on a country road and left marks – not once but twice.

It’s all the oats the horses eat – no fatalities at the mo but there could be a wanna be cereal killer loose. :P

Ah so that’s where the expression skidmarks come from

On the road and in the pants, they were. :P

AHEM… did I say I was a child of the 80s? oops I meant I went to school in the 80s.. am actually a 1974 kiddo lol… but anyhoo… I had milk in school, I remember having to avoid putting the blue straw through the bird poop on the top and grimacing at the chunky bits of cream you encountered before you got to the milk, yuk. Oh and I was a milk monitor.. do I get a gold star :-p

    Pffffffffffft! @ Milk Monitor!

I was Overhead Projector Monitor! I had modern technology pulsating at my fingertips! :P

Round here Panda you have to clear up horse poo, imagine the size of the horsey bag  and not everyone is doing it either.
Don’t horses poo while trotting too? I don’t presume the rider will stop the trot reverse and pick up the poo either

Dunno, doesn’t seem practical for the rider, even though the problems you outlined are more important.

Indeed, these horses have the trots in more ways than one. :D

They should be made to pick it up though or face a £1000 fine like us dog owners. Or avoid riding in public places. After all, there is no real need for horses to be walked along the road. Thought they had paddocks and fields for horses.

She actually checked up and down the road to make sure nobody was coming before she put the poor thing in the bin! There is no excuse. She cannot say she did it as a joke, it was definitely done with cruel deliberation. I hear the police have had to put her in protective custody.

Has Youtube taken over as modern day stocks?

It was the cat owners CCTV. They installed it due to vandalism so when they found their cat in the bin, they checked it and there it was!

They decided to publish the footage in an attempt to identify the woman.

What she did could so easily have resulted in the cat’s death – if the bin had been collected, it would have been loaded up onto the lorry, the cat chucked in and crushed.

Hope she gets jailed and loses her job – bank workers have to be “fit and proper” people – this clearly shows she is not.

    Once upon a time……

When we didn’t agree with someones comment, we would just agree to disagree.
Doesn’t that apply anymore? Everyone has to just try and be better than the last person. It’s not debating when it gets personal. And yes, I’m referring to the boards. None of us know anyone personally here…so what’s with the personal insults???
It takes a bigger person to just not reply or stoop to the level of reply from a previous poster. Let alone forgetting your manners!

    Sheeeeeeeeeesh!

    I couldn’t agree more.

It’s called freedom of speech, debating, arguing a point. I think I am allowed to do that just like you and anyone else on here is.

    Ok? :D

When the going gets tough, poli gets going. :D/

Before you go, can you lend minim one of your horse poo shovels, seems he/she can’t dig fast enough!

If it helps your ego to think that, then yes, you are far too tough a debater for me, and i’ll get going from this thread, well atleast until there is someone to debate with thats interested in debating the facts of a post and not point score. As for mims i think she has eloquently put a sensible and honest side to the debate, without the need to twist peoples words to make put her point or opinion across, she needs no shovel, but i could always leave one hanging around just incase anyone should need it.

Sorry, I didn’t realise you wrote the rules on here!

I have never knocked anyone achievements, and im a complete study addict, and have done alot of training in jobs, and at home, colleges etc apart from my initial education at school. Personally i have always found training of any sort extremely valuable and indeed necessary, the same as education is for kids. But that wasnt my arguement, and i was referring to many of your posts panda not just that one. But i dont think you got the point i was making, and im going off topic so lets leave it there.

What I was saying was that they have to be able to apply the book learning, in applied ways, for the knowledge to stick!

Rote learning is no use at all without practical application. And as for teachers…. what is the old adage, those that can do, those that can’t teach.

Rote learning is quick memorization for the purposes of learning lines for a play, song etc.

A doctor, teacher or engineer wouldn’t use that style of learning – it would be impossible to pass their exams if they did. And they gain valuable practicable experience whilst training with work placements.

Seems like one of life’s failures taught you to fail spectacularly well!

If I was you, I’d stop digging now.

Oh dear, I seem to have touched a nerve

    Not at all!

Nothing riles me – least of all the uneducated!
