Perhaps Daggers way may not be to everyones taste but to me the point is anyone convicted of sexual abuse of children should never, ever be put in a position that may bring him into contact with children on a day to day basis again.
I am relatively liberal in many things but child abusers I would happily hang from the highest tree.
FFS!!! The girl was fifteen! Hardly a child and certainly not a molester!
Daggers post reads like a headline from the Sun and I’m surprised you’re
being sucked in!Owe- from my perspective the age is irrelevant- a 15year old is as much a child as a 10 year old. They may act older, seem mature etc but they are still underage and still a child.
As adults we have a responsibility for a childs welfare. If a 15 year old was stark naked saying “I want it now”- it is my responsibility to act like an adult and not use the situation to my “advantage”- I am the adult, the “grown up”. Abusing a 15 year old is no different than abusing a 10 year or 5 year old. It is an abuse of trust and an abuse of the power an adult has over a child.
And for a football club to employ someone who is registered as a sex offender is not appropriate. The club has a role to play within the community it resides and I think they have made a wrong call here.
As a I said, I do try to have a liberal outlook on life and see someone elses view as it always help to formulate my own view but I feel child abuse is treated as a minor misdemeanor rather than the serious crime it is. Should someone be “tarred” for life for one mistake- when it comes to child abuse, for me the answer is yes.

yeh i know pats they really think its real some of em
Ermm- then why is this thread here if you’re not bothered what ppl think or say- it aint real so why add a thread about what someone said?? :? :?
Seems to me if it ain’t real life then it dont matter what anyone says-making up a thread about what someone else said about someone else simply gives life and credence to something that is supposedly not real

9 November, 2005 at 11:09 am #167456At what age do kids stop believing- how do I stop my 13 year old from telling my 9 year old that Santa has been gnawed to death by his reindeers and wont be coming round again? :?
9 November, 2005 at 11:06 am #167709The missus is a bit deaf too (thats why we have four kids)
Every night in bed I’d say “You going to sleep…or what?”
Ans she’d say “What?”
