You cannot possibly believe the media are careful in creating panic amongst the public- the media THRIVE on speculation desgined to create discord and uncertainty. Every Autumn, TV and newspapers will have report after report abou the “worst winter ever coming up”…. you’d think the recent flodds were the work of Noah n his ark would be just around the corner if you based your impression on what the media said.
Petrol has been approx £1 per litre for almost 2 years (caused by gvt tax NOT oil prices)- of course oil will run out soon (next 100 years if the scientists are to be believed)- where the failure is in a massive invetsment in sourcing and implementing alternative energy sources which are sustainable and viable.
What suprised me more was the length of sentence.
Normally these sort of things are 12 months community service (a joke) and a slap on the wrist.. n I bet thats what he was expecting but the local magisgtrates referred him to crown court to get a stiffer sentence…n he got 3 years in the nick

A nursery school nurse had a chat with the two kids as one felt he had been singled out (for spitting at) because of his colour.

Its not the end of western civilisation… its a commonsense, fair approach which shows that spitting aint nice at all and shows a black kid that not everything that happens to him thats bad is because he’s black!
10/10 to the school for a commonsense approach to this situation which, as usual, the media portrays negatively and the bandwagon rolls on

We didnt lose it in Russia, we lost it over the course of the campaign.
Some of it is Mclaren- particularly his substitutions and team selection (his continued use of Downing) and some of it is down to players who have failed to deliver for their country

To present a supposition which states that “its only racist if NO other white english person would react in the same way” is simply beyond the boundaries of barking
It is an irrelevance what ANY other individual would have done- the child hurls an object (fruit I think) and states “go back to where you came from” to a Slovakian. It is nonsensical to suggest unless theres not one single white english person who wouldnt have beaten him, its not a rascist remark.
Just because I’d have beaten him too doesnt mean it’s not rascist- white english people can also be offended by remarks made about others- you dont have to be a minority to be offended by racism!

No, it wouldnt have been about prostitutes but I’d guarrantee the remark would have been classed as sexist….just as this remark was classed as racist
