Is it bad news to support Derby county and not Notts forest? They hate eachother with a passion.
To the extent that they are both football teams …. then yes, supporting them is very bad news indeed.
OI!!!!!
Emma’s jus jealous cos the Rams are in the premiership next season
25 June, 2007 at 5:20 pm #274383I have to say one thing PB
How could anyone, and I mean anyone, mistake a 10 year old for a 16 year old- 12 year possibly, 14 year old, definitely but 10 year old??
I dont give a monkey’s chuff if she lay there and begged the 2 men to give it to her….adults have a direct responsibility to protect children, not exploit and take advantage of them just because the opportunity is there….and then blame the child for their actions is simply the defence lawyers way of ensuring they are not held to account for their actions.
1 gun, 2 bullets n 2 less to worry about…n yes, I would more than happily pull the trigger-no remorse, no regrets
25 June, 2007 at 6:26 am #273158Perhaps your union jack should be a realistic representation?
The white diagonals either side of the red diagonal cross should not be of the same size but should have a wide edge and a short edge. :D
22 June, 2007 at 6:54 am #273625Indeed he did- but I still cant find it as a fact (Peter Hitchens is the Daily Mail columnist who is notoriously anti europe)- it would be useful to find it as a fact from a neutral.
21 June, 2007 at 7:42 pm #274228How did you discover you had a latex allergy? I assume before you needed to use one?!
21 June, 2007 at 7:38 pm #274066we are agreeing?!
My bad- will try harder next time
21 June, 2007 at 7:37 pm #274226:D Mary, pick away, I wouldnt expect everyone to agree with me :D
You actually raise a good point- todays parents (n Ive got 4 kids) were the generation brought up in the 70’s and 80’s- if it falls to ALL parents (and there are some who see parenting as a lifelong job with no financial reward and will try to do their best for their kids), then we are doomed cos a large minority of parents wouldnt know how to talk to their kids let alone engage in meaningful discussions about sex, contraception, emotions and hormones!

I can see the control aspect of religion but politicians, kings and queens, dictators and generals have been exercising control over people, all backed with the brute force of police and military, ever since coherent and structured societies began to evolve, so you wonder why it was necessary to create another form of control, unless as a form of mind control. Whether religion came about because of control or comfort, we can never really be sure of the original motives behind it, because there is nothing documented. If you simply go by the Bible, it preaches eternal life for believers, so this must be a source of great comfort to many, but you’d be hard put to find any explicit references to how people must be controlled. Maybe the references to control are all implied.
Just suppose there is a benevolent and loving God, as the Bible keeps harping on about? Where is He today? Has He given up on the human race that He supposedly created? Is He just sitting back and having a good, long laugh at all our expense? If He is, he is one twisted mother!!
I think history shows the intrinsic links between church and state over the centuries, ruling monarchs used the church as the stick with which to rule (hence our monarch is “defender of the faith”, or is it “faiths” now?)
Either way, the end result was the same- a mainly subservient, domesticated mass (not forgetting that for most of this millenium, the majority of the peasantry were uneducated and illiterate) which could be relied on to remain loyal and faithful?
For me, it was the individual faith in a God which kept this country from descending into the Stone Age during the Black death when half the population died.
IMO :D
21 June, 2007 at 7:24 pm #273742Which Talon, is exactly what the BNP is starting to realise.
It wont reinvent overnight and will undoubtedly focus on current immigration as a cornerstone of policy BUT it will recgonise the right for all Britons, of all colours, to be called just that…”British”
Remember, you heard it here first

I completely agree with what you say- my point is that it is the “pc” brigade or whatever you want to call them which drives this forward NOT the, for example, black communities.
