Perhaps Mary, those prices were the true prices you should be paying for your veg if you didnt get them from a multinational corporation which deliberately underpays the producers to ensure its profit margins remain high whilst keeping prices low.

Many milk producing farmers do so almost at a loss due to the low prices and monopoly many supermarkets have on the market- also if you don’t sell them your milk, theres a good chance you wont be selling them anything else either!

understand that Slayer…. but Like other folks at this present in night I have to run a low budget…. Im all for using local produce etc…. It also relates to why we do have problems in this country as most households have to buy as cheap as they get to survive….

Mary- soz hun, I wasnt having a dig at you complaining- I buy from several farmers markets round here (we have lots of farmers!) n you do pay much more. From my view, I prefer the money to go direct to the farmer and not via a supermarket however I understand when finances have to be considered it is difficult to jusitfy buying from them.

All Emma is very ably doing is showing soem councillors from the tens of thousands of mainstream party politics are just as corrupt as those from the fringes of party politicd which you can count almost on one hand

More interesting would be a percentage of BNP councillors convicted of criminal activity (compared to the overall total of BNP councillors) and compare that to the main parties.

    May 4th- YOU decide!

slayer you are of course correct i can understand that you feel that its a bnp ranting having read the post again i apologise for that, as i dislike the bnp as much as anyone who hates facist doctrin.. i do however stand firm on the sharia law issue the government are indeed in talks with leading members of the muslim faith to allow sharia law to be used to settle matters such as marriage issues and family law. however if you are a female muslim you have only half the rights as a man and you have no say in family law as the women are not allowed to voice an opinion unless she has up to 4 male witnesses to back her case and this never happens. so when i say we should be against this monstrous law i mean that we should be against it on behalf of the silenced womenfolk of the muslim community and not against muslim people in general

    religion is fear
    fear is religion

Wasp- I am not aware of sharia law having any legal validity in this country nor is it likely to. Nor do I dispute the fact sharia law is used as a male tool (!) for the oppression of women.

However it is no more oppressive than catholicism which refuses, consistently, to allow birth control thereby ensuring the subjugation of women throughout some of the poorest countries in the world because their religion denies them the basic right to prevent conception.

As I said, if you look back in history, the current demonisation of Islam is no different than the way catholicism was viewed for centuries and judaism for centuries before that. The song remains the same

I’m even worse Slayer…. I’ve traced my family tree back to the 11th century where it turns out I’m a descendant of Piers de Byrmingham…quite a posh bloke who was a friend of the English King… so much so in fact that He gave him lands in both Ireland and France….So I’m probably more English than you….. :!: :!:  Am considering going to both Ireland and France to ask for my bloody lands back..where I can grow potatoes, drink poteen or crush grapes to my hearts content (Do you think it was cos he was in ireland and he drank the fecking money away :?: :?:  )

You’re definitely more English than me Sweets as me dads side traces back to Wales only 4 generations ago! But I’m English to the core which is really my point

As for going back to France to ask for your lands back! good luck, but they’ll expect an apology for Agincourt, Crecy n Dunkirk

Isnt it amazing how so many people can become so blind to the actual truth and spout such claptrap.

Tony Blair adapting sharia law- good BNP soundbite which, like most BNP soundbites, is hot air n b/ ollox.

We are a protestant nation who have 4% (yes waspish, just 4%!!) of its population as Muslims- that means 96% (yes, 96%) of its population are not Muslim- n you’re worried about 4% taking over. Get real

Keep reading the hype n you’ll remain blind

To me, all religion is divisive, oppressive and designed to ensure the masses remain just that- the masses BUT to single out Islam (just like our forefathers did for centuries but the demon was Catholicism not Islam, n before that is was Judaism) as the biggest risk n threat to our society simply is not only wrong but it polarises Muslims into feelign isolated, threatened and alienated- history repeats itself like a heavy meal

No, you’re paying because you want to win some money, and along with tens of thousands of others each day, have no chance to do so- just like the quiz channels with ridiculous answers- there’s always some mug who’ll have a go!

And correct me if Im wrong but you pay your Tv licence for BBC and its services- ITV and the rest are self funded through advertising revenue and investments and overseas sales. As most of the telephone premium line issues have been with ITV, Channel 4 and cable/SKY channels, its not the fault of the BBC (except Blue Peter and the cooking one).

You havent ordered anything, you’ve gambled and lost. Just like the Grand National- I gambled £22 on 11 horses for the whole Slayer household n didnt win a penny- thats how the cookie crumbles, I cant ask for my money back cos my horses were sh/yte or the pundits told me to back the wrong horse or the bookies were wrong cos the favourite fell at the first fence!

You pays yer money n takes yer chance

So Emma, your entire blanket denial of any Muslim to be “true British” is based on the fact that their religion doesnt allow them to drink or have gay sex- succintly thereby summarising the entire British character as rum and sodomy!

Only for you, because you’re too thick not to notice the “etc”.

Using your clearly valuable and correct principles, Methodists cant be “true British” (its the drink you know) nor can Catholics (it’s the sodomy).

If being british means the freedom to consume alcohol, then the same applies to the above.

Y’see Emma, you lose any argument with ridiculously extreme statements which make people laugh and you defend them as if your life depended on it.

To suggest Methodists and Catholics cant be true “British” because they oppose drinking and homosexuality (although the catholic church slightly bends the rules if you don’t “practise”!) is so funny yet you defend it because it suits your view of other creeds, races etc

Yes Sharon, I’m generalising as with 53 million English citizens in this country, I can hardly do anything else

BUT generally speaking the Irish can drink and be merry without resorting to violence or abhorrent behaviour which we English havent quite grasped yet (generally speaking).
