yeah, heard from them again today lunch time… my auntie was in tears, same with my little cousin, they just wanna come home.. my uncle does’nt mind staying though to see it out, their hotel is still ok, but the village is in a bit of a mess

main thing is they are ok, bbc news have been great, fantastic infact, kept us updated.. and my mums done about 2 or 3 interviews today on various radio stations, so she feels all famous now..

Not for me to say anything as the experience must have been horrific and I can perfectly understand your aunt wanting to come home but is there anything they, or any other of the holidaymakers, could do to help the local Greeks clear up the mess?

It may be a token gesture but one which would be gratefully received

Interesting to hear another passenger’s version of events

Read this, and if it’s true as stated,

    What would YOU have done?

Apparently he has proof Aliens exist, spooky.

    Should be a interesting listen.

I have proof Alien and Alien 3 also exist in my DVD collection

Y’see, if I had proof, real genuine incontrovertable proof, which would be the most incredible, most explosive, most incomprehensible, horrifyingly glorious thing that has happened to this planet- it would bring governments to fall, fracture society, other creatures, better than us, …….. would I really go on TalkSport 1053-1089 MW to tell the world?

Emma, you yourself defined a bigot as a person who is prejudiced in their views and intolerant of the opinions of others. Not or, and. Therefore you can be unfairly prejudiced towards spiders, squashing those that mean you no harm, pulling the legs off others because you mistakenly think they deserve it etc., but you can’t be bigoted about it since arachnids don’t have opinions of their own to be intolerant of and, according to your definition, a bigot needs to be both prejudiced and intolerant of another set of views.

Hope this clears it up for you.

Do you not think that a spider has an opinion. How do they decide which leg to move first? Do they have an opinion of which to make decisions…

prejudice • noun 1 preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or experience. 2 unjust behaviour formed on such a basis. 3 chiefly Law harm that may result from some action or judgement.
A spider will catch their prey through a prejudiced view of another insect, in the form of a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason, with unjust behaviour formed on such a basis.

If homophobia is bigotry, people who are scared of spiders are bigots. Its fact, English dictionary language FACT, the language WE ALL speak.

Complete bollox- also the language we all speak

I always, perhaps in hindsight wrongly, gave Sven credit for the results Engalnd did achieve- 5-1 over Germany and the 1-0 win over Argentina just stand out – but I am honest enough to admit that the key games, Brazil in 2002 and Portugal in 2004 and 2006 saw the England manager lacking in conviction and focus.

Final say for me goes to my 13year old who said “I hope it’s true that Man Utd are going to sign Hargreaves”- probably the best English find over the last 10 years and a real workhorse.
