Something like that Tommy
I have no objection to immigration control as long as we understand the implications and understand if we are talking about- without economic migrants, sections of our economy (hospitality, food processing) would simply collapse- there is simply not the work pool of British workers to fill these jobs.
If we have a zero tolerance on immigration though and every country follows suit- where are we going to put the tens of thousands of Brits who live or work abroad? They’ll all be coming back here!

Sorry Emma you will never convince me of the BNP’s nationalism in the same way that the IRA will ever comvince me that Sinn Fien is cool… get my drift? I want a country that is hard on immigration, whether it be illegal or so called legal. I want a country that says wooaaahhh … we have enough people here, get in the queue, we’ll let you in when the next one leaves… works perfectly in nightclubs. I want a Govt. that is firm and fair, one that understands the Americans need to rule the world but tells them when they are wrong … I need a Govt that accepts the many different races in our country and works with them and not against them, and I need a country that allows the whites to have the same rights as everyone else that lives here. Thats just scratching the surface … but it will never happen. Your choice of party are racist, the Labour and Tories are the choice of everyone that has to go mainstream and the Liberals are the ahhhhhh party … ahhhh aren’t they sweet …. we need someone that will be groundbreaking and take on everyone’s ideologies and dishes them out in equal portions. Will never happen … I believe it is called Eutopia.
In the mean time you can stick your Labour/Conservative pact up your proverbial … forget liberal because we really would be on the road to ruin, and your right wing facist ideology that is the BNP … I abhore tha whole lot of them.
And apologies for going off thread but our whole existence and death is borne on what is on offer to us, and Stephen Lawrence is an important left wing point, whether they give a toss about the subject matter or not. This country sucks.
exactly wot magoo said =D> =D> :D/
Hmm Baileez- if memory serves me right, you have Irish blood in you and hence are part immigrant. So under Magoo’s laws, your family would still be back in Ireland and would never have been allowed in- how does that square then?
As I’ve said before, we are the original mongrel nation- we are a heinz nation (57 varieties)- you can’t chose which varieties you like and which varieties can stay, which you want in and which you don’t.
It doesn’t mean this country doesn’t need immigration control cos as sure as feck does, BUT that applies to all colours, creeds and races and applies just as much to a white Australian as a black Somalian

Erm no.
I don’t get why people think insulting people for being younger than them is offensive??
“Ha ha, I’m gonna die before you!”
Oh no…. Don’t offend me too much will ya??
From my age’s point of view, I find it a bit sick if say, a 28 year old, was going with a 15/16 year old, it’s sick.
Or a 40 year old with an 18 year old.
They need hanging, just perverts!
Why? If we’re talking sexual attraction, then age is no barrier (providing both parties are over the legal limit obviously)- but sex is different to a long term relationship with committments, love and sacrifice. I wouldn’t expect an someone 20 years younger than me to have the same interests, desires, maturity, values, lifestyle etc but that doesn’t mean I should abstain from sex if both parties are mutually attracted to each other- we are talking about a few nights of carnal lust not a life time of devotion!
25 July, 2006 at 10:04 pm #232266Forgive my ignorance, but how is that down to the DSS?
25 July, 2006 at 10:03 pm #231415The war will only become global if key unsustainable energy supplies are put in jeopardy- there is no Middle Eastern country strong enough to take on America or invade any of the American Muslim allies (Kuwait, Saudi, Egypt etc) and hence it is unlikely essential oil producing nations will become unviable.
Iran risks too much to become involved in open conflict (hence its funding of Hizbollah- an indirect way of attacking Israel), as does Syria and Jordan. Each knows what the reaction will be if Israel were to be invaded (see Gulf War 3). Iran is still selling oil to the West, if it was so intent on causing a war, it would only have to stop selling oil, send the price per barrel of crude through the roof and cause global economic instability…but they don’t because they know the end result would mean they are in a worse strategic position than before.
Nah, we have no worries here about a “global” conflict but that doesnt mean we have no worries about the middle east

aww poor Slayer – quality over quantity tho don’t u think
It all depends on the individual, my hubby is 14 yrs older than me, I cudn’t go out with sumone my age as I always found them far too immature, not only that, all the lads I grew up with I classed as mates and didn’t look at them ‘in that way’ and i’m sure they never looked at me that way either, there’s alot to be said for an older guy, stability, maturity, having ‘been there and done that’, doesn’t feel the need to go out all the time etc, it works for sum and not for others, but personally I think the age gap is only a problem if u make it so….
I’m not sure the missus gets either!!
Sex is all in the mind anyway….I’m having an operation next week to have it lowered :D
I think it’s what suits- it works for you n me (but only biblically speaking of course, not personally you n me  ) but may not work for someone else- it does depend on what you’re looking for at the time…it’s not likely that a 40 year old man will find a soul mate in an 18 year old female(lucky b/astard that he’d be though)
Live for today cos tomorrow is another day- be happy- it’s all you can ask really

Does society tend to accept older men with younger women more than young men with older women?
Way it should be ‘innit.
All my g/f’s have been younger.
Only 4 years younger at the most!
I hate those that have ’em 10/20 years younger.
They is just perverts who needs to be smashed in the face with a cricket bat
Is that cos you can’t attract ’em younger Tommy or you’re still too young to have someone 10 years younger than you?
Having someone 10 years younger is hard work Tommy, trust me, they have demands!!
It takes me all night to do once what i once used to do all night :( , and thats with the Phyllisan
